Title of document: Local Plan Pre-submission Document

Subject matter: The Swanage Local Plan identifies specific sites for development, in accordance with the Purbeck Local Plan Part 1. This includes settlement extensions for around 200 dwellings (including 52 homes that have already been permitted on appeal) and a town centre redevelopment site to provide new retail space. The plan also includes detailed planning policies that will apply in the parish of Swanage. It has been published for a period of public representation before submission to the Secretary of State.

Publication period: Thursday 24 September until 4pm on Friday 6 November 2015

All representations must be submitted within this period and received by the Council by 4pm on Friday 6 November.

Further notification: Representations may be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of any of the following:  That the Swanage Local Plan has been submitted for independent examination.  That the recommendations of the person appointed to carry out the independent examination of the Swanage Local Plan have been published.  That the Swanage Local Plan has been adopted.
