REHOBOTH BEACH CONVENTION CENTER 7 TH

229 Rehoboth Avenue - $20 per ticket - doors open at 7:00PM ANNUAL INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL PRESENTED BY THE REHOBOTH BEACH FILM SOCIETY WEDNESDAY 11/10/2004

Join the opening festivities of the Seventh Annual Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival including the premiere screening of the film Nothing Beats Fun. This 2004 documentary features one of Rehoboth’s favorite entertainment centers, Funland, and traces its history as it has touched the lives of three generations of Delaware families and other visitors. Don’t miss this opportunity to see the premiere screening of an unique documentary filmed in Rehoboth, directed by a Delaware filmmaker, and produced in Delaware. “If it is indeed true that everything we really need to know we learn in kindergarten, then in some sense it never gets any better than FUNLAND. For nearly 45 years, the family-owned seaside amusement park in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware has been delighting generations of vacationers. Nothing Beats Fun is a fast and funny look at the little theme park that’s never raised ticket prices, and the Fasnacht family who still owns and operates it. “ – Sharon Kelly Baker, Producer and Director (Teleductions)

Opening ceremonies will include welcome remarks, an overview of the festival, and a first glimpse of this year’s fantastic trailers! Well-known auctioneer Don Moore will host an exciting "Funland" art auction featuring:

• An original oil painting donated by Andrew Criss (framing donated by Peninsula Gallery) • A mix media folk art painting donated by Pamella Bounds-Seemans • A digitally enhanced photograph collage donated by Roy Boucher • A mix media collage on paper donated by Lee Wayne Mills • A digital photograph on canvas donated by Fred Chase • A representational conté acrylic painting donated by Julie Baxendell
