MY DESIGN PROCESS Research & Planning Understand the client’s business • I research the history and culture of your brand. • I seek to understand the brand’s values and vision. • I ask about the client’s industry and major competitors. • I learn who your target demographic is (age, gender, location, etc.). Design & Development Process Start with the basics • I start with a pencil and paper, scribbling ideas, concepts, and creative ways to address your needs. • Next, I sit down at my computer and start with wire frames and low-level mockups. Then I add images, typography and details. • Lastly, I explain the concept(s) to my client and explain the reason(s) behind each concept. I always listen and analyze my client’s feedback when they share their view or perspective on my concepts. Deployment Refine and Perfect • Once I am done with a project, I like to refine and polish the design. • I then proof read the entire document, searching for grammatical and spelling errors. • The next step is to have the client proof the work for any edits or changes. • Finally, I ready the final proof for the printer.
