Sunday, he closed out the World Series for the Red Sox, winning his first championship. The Red Sox called on Sale to pitch the 9th inning of Game 5 of the Fall Classic on Sunday, and the lean left-hander did not disappoint. Sale struck out Justin Turner, Kike Hernández and Manny Machado in-order, clinching the Red Sox fourth championship in 15 seasons. While White Sox fans surely wish Sale helped bring another championship to the South Side, congratulations are in order for the former White Sox ace. And, who knows?
