Dog Fouling – They also reported a number of cases of dog fouling but had not been able to get photographic evidence. They requested a dog bin on Beech Crescent. Speeding Traffic on The Hill – Mr and Mrs Sanders presented a petition asking for speed cameras on The Hill. The petition had been signed by all residents on The Hill. They had contacted Derbyshire County Council and an officer from the Highways Department had visited. Tony Trafford acknowledged that this continued to be a serious concern and since the opening of Sports Direct in Shirebrook the number of lorry’s using The Hill had increased. Councillor Syrett agreed to approach Sports Direct for assistance in reducing the speed of their vehicles through the village. Councillor Moesby referred to the result of a traffic volume and speed check undertaken in 2017.Since then there had been no evidence presented about any serious incidents. He said that he would take the petition to the County Council and also start the process to engage with Crest to carry out an investigation.

    THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL IMPACT OF CULTURAL FESTIVALS IN THE EAST MIDLANDS OF ENGLAND FINAL REPORT Christopher Maughan Franco Bianchini De Montfort University, Leicester December 2004 Preface I am pleased to introduce the final report of the ‘Economic and Social Impact of Cultural Festivals in the East Midlands’. This is the first comprehensive study of festivals in the East Midlands and reflects on the economic and social impact of 11 festivals in the region during 2002-03. Arts Council England recognises the value and role of festivals in the region, and was therefore delighted to fund this research study. Our other partners on this project were East Midlands Development Agency (emda) and Regional Economic and Arts Partnership (REAP), which comprised of local authority officers from across the region. It is encouraging to read how successful festivals are, not just in terms of the economy, but also in making people proud of where they live and the community-based feelings, which are rekindled through such events. This research shows how far we, as a region, have come and gives us an indication of how we can build on this success to truly make the East Midlands the home of festivals. The success of any research project depends on the efforts many people. I would like to thank the researchers Franco Bianchini, Christopher Maughan and Paola Merli of De Montfort University, Leicester, together with the 11 festivals that took part. Most importantly, I would like to thank those members of the public who willingly gave their time and cooperation, helping to make the research a success.

(2) Information and Analysis Background In December 2018, following extensive consultation and public engagement events, approval was given to the shared use cycle path along the B6057 between Dronfield and Unstone, which included the County Council advertising any Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) to facilitate its implementation. The Cabinet Member requested to see any representations made as a result of any advertised TROs. As part of the construction of the proposed cycle path, it will be necessary to prohibit motor vehicles from entering Church Street and Old Whittington Lane from the B6057 in order to construct a continual cycle path across these access roads. In order to achieve this, it was necessary to advertise a TRO to prohibit motor vehicles. This was advertised on street and in the Derbyshire Times from 6 June 2019 to 28 June 2019 and received one objection, from Unstone Parish Council The objection reads as follows: “The council objects to the proposed closure of both roads as the closure will create a disproportionate amount of traffic on neighbouring roads, especially on Crow Lane at school drop off and pick up times.

They are reduced to a common form, and the following con- tractions, as before, have been freely used : w. = widower or widow. p. = of the parish of. co. = in the county of. dioc.= in the diocese of. lie. = marriage licence. It should be remembered that previous to 1752 the year was calculated as beginning on the 25th March, instead of the I St of January, so that a Marriage taking place on say 20th February, 1625, would be on that date in 1626 according to our reckoning ; but as the civil and ecclesiastical year were both used, this is sometimes expressed by 20th February, i62f. In all cases where the marriage is stated to have taken place by Licence, that fact is recorded, as the searcher thereby knows that further information as to age, parentage, and voca- tion of the parties is probably recoverable from the Allegations in the Archdeaconry or other ofifice from which the Licence was issued.

Where only a baptism date is given for an individual born after 1837, assume the birth was registered in the same quarter.
