Furthermore, I grant full permission to St. Andrew’s Society of Detroit to use any photographs, videos and other types of recordings of me in any advertising, trade or any commercial purpose in accounts and promotions of this Event. I waive the right to inspect versions of my image used for publication or the written copy used in connection with the accounts and promotions of the Event. Please keep in mind the new 3 month rule when entering for this competition. Dancers may not compete if they plan to attend a workshop or class with either of the judges in the 3 months leading up to this competition. COMPETITION RULES Pre-Premier & Premier Competition Rules • This competition is governed by the rules and regulations of the S.O.B.H.D. The decisions of the judges are final. No correspondence or discussion can be entered into between a judge and dancer/parent/guardian/teacher. • All dancers must compete in their own category and age group (based on their age as of the day of the competition). • Groups, order of the dancers and number of prizes are determined by the Competition Coordinators according to the number of entries received and the date of those entries. • The first dancer to enter will be the last to dance in each category. All competitors must be in full Highland Dress to receive awards. Trophies will be awarded based on six places in each dance. • Per S.O.B.H.D. rules, there are no trophies for Primary Dancers. Individual Choreography Competition Rules Individuals must choreograph their own routines limited to 2 minutes. Routine must contain Highland movements and Scottish-type music and dress. Props are allowed. Competition is limited to the first 8 entries received. A $22 entry fee (U.S. funds) must accompany your entry. Entries are limited to Premier Dancers only. Dancer must provide their own music on a CD or iPod. Please double check your CD - we cannot guarantee that a burned cd will play on our machine.
