Tenet Healthcare Corporation, a national healthcare management company, is currently Physician Advisor for St. Mary’s Medical Center, a 464 bed acute care facility located in West Palm Beach, Florida. The Physician Advisor (PA) will be a key member of the hospital’s Executive Team and report directly to the CEO of St. Mary’s Medical Center and the Coastal Region Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and indirectly to the Tenet Physician Advisor Program Director based in Dallas, Texas.

The PA for St. Mary’s Medical Center is responsible for providing medical staff leadership to the hospital’s Utilization Management Committee (UMC) and functions of the Case Management (CM) and Health Information Management (HIM)/Clinical Documentation Improvement Departments. The PA leads and promotes processes for patients to receive medically necessary and high quality care throughout the continuum of care. In addition, the PA promotes medical care that reflects professional best practices and community standards of care. The PA assists St. Mary’s Medical Center Administration in reducing the financial risks associated with denials that are due to providing medically unnecessary or preventable services and extended length of stays.

The successful candidate will be currently licensed and board certified and have a demonstrated track record of superior performance in physician leadership roles gained in a complex, multi-hospital care environment and a record of success in clinical process improvement.
