We all know how important it is to support local enterprise . . . but it is more than that. Just two of the flow-on effects are that it creates local jobs, and supports local non- profit organisations.

Based on the success of the 2015- 2019 editions, The Gisborne Herald are once again producing our very popular “Locally owned and operated” publication. The feature is a comprehensive collection of local businesses and celebrates their history in Gisborne.

MIDFIELD CLASH: Gisborne Thistle’s Charlie Morris (left) and Western Rangers’ Morgan Samuels dispute central midfield possession in a Pacific Premiership football match at Childers Road Reserve last Saturday. Thistle won the game 4-1 but will expect to be more severely tested by the Taradale side making the three-hour car journey from Hawke’s Bay tomorrow.
