An armoury containing old arms and armour of the 17th and 18th Centuries is also located in the palace. The Handbooks have been divided into three sections. Part A presents data obtained from the field on land use patterns, civic amenities such as drinking water, post offices, primary schools etc. available in each village. Part B presents demographic data down to the village level. Part C presents official statistics gathered from sources other than the Census of 1971 and also includes notes on various aspects of each district. Our attempt has been to present information concerning each district which is at once relevant and as detailed as possible, and we hope these volumes will prove useful to scholars, planners and those who are working to better the economic condition of- the people in our State.
