Starlin Castro’s first inning infield single extended his hitting streak at Marlins Park to 14 games (.361/22x61); it is tied with David Wright for the fifth-longest streak in Marlins Park history. Castro has also hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games vs. Boston (.367/18x49). Brian Anderson ran his season-opening hitting streak to six games, tying Scott Pose (1993) and Marcell Ozuna (2013) for the third-longest by a Marlins rookie to begin a season. Hanley Ramirez (2006) and Alejandro De Aza (2007) are tied for the longest with eight-game streaks. José Ureña started and allowed just one run over 7.0 innings, tying a career-high with seven strikeouts (third time) and setting a career high with 109 pitches. It was the fifth start of his career of 7.0-plus innings, the fourth with one-or-zero runs allowed. For the first time in Marlins Park history, the roof was open for a sixth consecutive game. Miami challenged a call in the seventh that Maybin was thrown out attempting to steal second base. The call was overturned (2:11). Red Sox Notes: Hanley Ramirez had the game-winning hit with his two-run double in the 13th; it was the 113th game- winning RBI of his career. Chris Sale tallied six strikeouts and allowed one run in five innings of work; Sale’s outing marks the sixth straight game to begin the season that Boston’s starter has allowed no more than one run, setting a franchise record. The Red Sox became the first team in the Live Ball Era to open the season with six consecutive games in which their starter allowed no more than one run.
