With what might go down as the greatest play in franchise history, the Dolphins pulled off a miraculous victory against the New England SCORING DRIVES Patriots on Sunday. TEAM QTR TIME PLAY (EXTRA POINT) (DRIVE INFO) NE MIA Kenyan Drake scored on a 69-yard play that featured two laterals to turn a disappointing 33-28 loss into an exhilarating 34-33 victory at Hard J.Develin 2 yd. run (kick failed, hru) Rock Stadium. Patriots 1 8:13 6 0 (12-75, 6:47) Out of timeouts, the Dolphins had the ball at their 31-yard line following a 16-yard kickoff return by Kalen Ballage when quarterback Ryan K.Stills 7 yd. pass from R.Tannehill Dolphins 1 5:32 6 7 Tannehill hit in the middle of the field at the Miami 45. Stills (J.Sanders kick) (5-75, 2:41) then lateraled to DeVante Parker, who quickly lateraled it to Drake. Drake did the rest, weaving his way through the New England J.Edelman 2 yd. pass from T.Brady Patriots 2 14:14 13 7 secondary. (S.Gostkowski kick) (5-18, 2:04) He got around two defenders before reaching the end zone and the last New England player to dive in vain in an effort to stop him was B.Bolden 54 yd. run (J.Sanders kick) Dolphins 2 13:26 13 14 perennial Pro Bowl tight end Rob Gronkowski. (2-75, 0:48) As he reached the back of the end zone, Drake threw the ball high C.Patterson 37 yd. pass from T.Brady into the stands as his teammates rushed from the sideline in celebration. Patriots 2 10:32 20 14 The touchdown came seconds after a field goal had given New (S.Gostkowski kick) (6-75, 2:54) England an insurmountable five-point lead. B.Bolden 6 yd. run (J.Sanders kick) Drake’s game-winning touchdown was the ninth lead change of a wild, Dolphins 2 7:28 20 21 wild affair and the Dolphins’ fifth victory in their past six home games (6-75, 3:04) against New England. R.Gronkowski 16 yd. pass from The dramatic victory capped a brilliant day for Tannehill, who Patriots 2 3:49 T.Brady (S.Gostkowski kick) (8-75, 27 21 overcame an ankle injury late in the first half, to pass for three touchdowns 3:39) and compile a 155.2 passer rating. Veteran running back Brandon Bolden, signed in September after B.Butler 23 yd. pass from R.Tannehill Dolphins 3 3:58 27 28 being released by the Patriots, had his first two rushing touchdowns of (J.Sanders kick) (4-68, 2:23) the season after getting his first carry a week earlier. It was the first two- touchdown game of his career, which began in 2012. S.Gostkowski 32 yd. Field Goal Patriots 4 6:45 30 28 Fellow running back Frank Gore rushed for 92 yards and had a 24-yard (8-55, 3:43) reception while moving past Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson into fifth place on the NFL’s all-time yards from scrimmage list. S.Gostkowski 22 yd. Field Goal Patriots 4 0:16 33 28 Stills caught one of touchdown passes from Tannehill, part of his 135- (10-69, 4:10) yard day. K.Drake 69 yd. pass play by And then there was Drake, who was relatively quiet until his gigantic Dolphins 4 0:00 33 34 play, for which he was credited with 52 receiving yards.
