START PART 1: LAKEFRONT

Practice Fields

The Walter Athletics Center overlooks Lake Michigan, Martin Stadium, and Hutcheson Field. We use these fields for drills, strides, and yoga.

Kellogg Global Hub

Beyond the practice field is the Kellogg Global Hub. Completed in 2017, this 415,000-square foot building is home to the top-5 business school in the country and even has a fitness center, lockers, and a café for its students and faculty.

Lakefront Trail

The Lakefront Trail has two beaches and a sailing center to rent paddleboards, kayaks, and boats. The green is Wi-Fi enabled so students can study. There is a great running path and a bonfire pit as well.

Running on the Trail

We use the trail as a tempo loop most frequently, but the trail itself continues past the University all the way to downtown Chicago. It’s a great place to get your long run in.

Cross the pedestrian bridge and turn right. PART 2: LAKEFILL

Lakefill

On your right is the Lakefill. It is an extension of the waterfront campus and is a common study and hangout area for students.

University Hall is the oldest building on campus and holds multiple classrooms. The Rock can be watched via webcam as students can camp out and guard it for 24 hours to earn the right to paint it, usually to promote student groups and events.
