PRESS RELEASE No. 175/2015 Date: 20th March 2015 Motion Date Relates to Important Legislation: "Feetham should be less paranoid." The paranoid statements from Daniel Feetham about the fact that his motion will be debated on the 30th March show how little he knows about Parliamentary procedure. The adjournment of the Parliament to that date has come about entirely as a result of the need for Education Minister Hon Gilbert Licudi QC MP to take the University of Gibraltar Bill, which cannot be taken until after the 25th March. The Bill could only have been taken before that date on the Chief Minister certifying that the Bill was urgent. Mr Licudi spoke to Mr Feetham to try to agree this but Mr Feetham indicated he did not believe that there were grounds for urgency. Because the Minister for Education will be travelling next week until the 29th March, the Bill cannot be proceeded wit h until the 30th March and Parliament has therefore been adjourned to that date. Opposition motions are dealt with at the end of the Parliamentary agenda, after Bills and Government Motions have been disposed of. The Chief Minister, Hon Fabian Picardo QC MP, said: "The Government is very much looking forward to debating Mr Feetham's motion. But he needs to be less paranoid about the reasons for the date set for the debate and wake up and realise that he does not set the agenda of Parliament, the Government does. So perhaps Mr Feetham should make fewer jibes and issue fewer press releases asserting his theories on why his motion is going to be debated when it is and he should concentrate on how he is going to justify having so obviously misled Parliament yesterday, which will be the subject of the first motion to be debated when Parliament returns. That Government motion is a very important one, demonstrating he has lied to Parliament, and the fact we will take it on that date demonstrates that we are not trying to have the debate when few people are watching. We expect many will want to see how Mr Feetham tries to wriggle off the hook he has made for himself by having misled Parliament as he tried to do yesterday." MONDAY 9 TH JULY 2012 Chief Minister’s Budget Speech 2012 Introduction Mr Speaker, this is my first budget address as Chief Minister and I have the honour to present the Government’s revenue and expenditure estimates for the year ending 31 st March 2013. Mr Speaker, this debate has traditionally also been about more than just numbers; this is a State of the Nation debate. I will therefore also report to this House on the state of the economy and public finances and on the specific budget measures and some of the projects that the Government will introduce, in pursuance of our manifesto commitments. Mr Speaker, having been in Opposition for 16 years, it is my pleasure to deliver for a Socialist Liberal Government, a budget to support working families and the disabled; a budget to support our youth and our senior citizens. A budget, Mr Speaker, to encourage business and enhance our public services. In short, Mr Speaker, this is a budget to deliver social justice and to improve the quality of life of all our citizens whilst making Gibraltar a great place to do business with the world. And that Mr Speaker, against a backdrop of continued economic turmoil in Europe. Mr Speaker no one in our community can have failed to appreciate the social problems that Europe’s economic woes are visiting upon ordinary citizens in economies more mature and diversified than our own.

PRESS RELEASE No: 591/2016 Date: 20th October 2016 Chief Minister reshuffles the Cabinet The Chief Minister Fabian Picardo, in consultation with the Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia, has today carried out a ministerial reallocation of responsibilities. The GSLP/Liberal Government was first elected in December 2011. There was a Cabinet reshuffle on 9 December 2014 on the third anniversary date of that election. Following last general election of 26 November 2015, there were a number of changes made to some Ministerial portfolios affecting mainly the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister. It was made clear at that time that a more extensive reshuffle would follow in 2016. This is therefore the second Cabinet reshuffle since December 2011 and the first major one since the general election of 26 November 2015. Summary of new portfolios 1. The Deputy Chief Minister Hon Dr Joseph Garcia The Deputy Chief Minister becomes the Minister for Brexit as well as Europe, given the ever increasing volume of work in this area. 2. The Minister for the Environment, Energy, Climate Change and Education - Hon Dr John Cortes The Hon Dr John Cortes takes on responsibility for Education, Heritage, Urban Renewal and the maintenance, administration and operation of tourist sites and beaches. 3. FABIAN PICARDO MP Finance Centre Lunch, London 15 th October 2012 HON FABIAN PICARDO MP: CHIEF MINISTER: GIBRALTAR My dear friends Thank you very much indeed for being here today. Although a day to celebrate Gibraltar in London and indeed, this lunch for financial services providers has become a fixture of the London calendar, THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I am involved as Chief Minister with my colleague Mr Gilbert Licudi QC here as minister for Financial Services. Last year, I attended this lunch as a professional in the sector myself and as Leader of the Opposition. I am sorry that the Leader of the Opposition now, Mr Caruana QC who was Chief Minister last year, has not been able to accept my invitation to be with us today. I saw last year that it is important for Gibraltar to engage with those of you in London who are already familiar with what we have to offer as a jurisdiction and to keep you up to date with developments in our economy. In fact, it is as important for us also to engage with those of you who are here to hear for the first time what opportunities Gibraltar can provide. Let me then first of all update you on what is happening at a macroeconomic level and in political terms, while Gilbert will after lunch take you through an update of what is happening in the financial services industry. We won the General Election in Gibraltar on 9 th December of last year.

PRESS RELEASE No. 721/2015 Date: 13th October 2015 Gibraltar Finance highlighting Funds in the City of London The Hon Albert Isola MP, Minister for Financial Services, hosted HM Government of Gibraltar’s second successful Funds and Asset Managers breakfast at the RAC in London on the 13th October. In his address to the almost 200 attendees, who were guests of Gibraltar Finance and of members of the Gibraltar Funds & Investments Association, Minister Isola gave an update on Gibraltar's economy and expounded on the benefits of Gibraltar for the funds and asset management sector. The breakfast setting also provided a perfect opportunity for new business, networking and strengthening of relationships with the guests who included funds' lawyers, asset managers, hedge fund professionals, consultants and media. The Hon Gilbert Licudi QC MP, Minister for Education, Justice and International Exchange of Information and Samantha Barrass, CEO, Gibraltar Financial Services Commission also attended the event. Minister Isola commented: "This is our second annual event in London exclusively for the Funds and Asset Management sector and I am delighted by the quality of the people attending which has afforded Gibraltar Finance and the private sector professionals an excellent forum to explain and discuss the advantages that Gibraltar can bring to the sector. Gibraltar Chronicle La encuesta del Chronicle predice otra victoria aplastante del GSLP/Liberales Gibraltar, 11 de octubre de 2019 [La Alianza] GSLP/Liberales parece estar al borde de otra victoria aplastante en las elecciones generales de la próxima semana, según los resultados de una encuesta realizada para el Chronicle. El sondeo predice 10 escaños en el Parlamento para la Alianza, seis para el GSD y uno para Together Gibraltar. Excluyendo los votos en blanco y los “no sabe”, que no se cuentan en una elección, la encuesta personal a 622 votantes encontró que el 63,5% apoyaría al GSLP/Liberales, el 21,7% al GSD y el 14,1% a Together Gibraltar. Los candidatos independientes Robert Vásquez y John Charles Pons obtendrían el 0,4% y el 0,3% de los votos, respectivamente. El número de "no sabe" y votos en blanco en la encuesta general fue bajo, de sólo 2,7% y 0,46% respectivamente.
