If you have not accessed Synergy ParentVue before, you can follow this link for detailed instructions. (REPEAT) K-5 report card details - K-5 report cards continue to have four grading periods/quarters. I’ve included some highlights below. • The entire district is using these three grades: o E - Exceeding. The student exceeds end of year grade level expectations. o M - Meeting. The student consistently meets end of year grade level expectations. o P - Progressing towards grade level standards. The student is making expected progress toward end of year grade level expectations or demonstrates basic but inconsistent application of essential concepts and skills. o N/E - No Evidence. Indicates no evidence of learning due to limited participation with the standards. o N/A - Not Assessed. Indicates that standards were not assessed this grading period. • Health, PE, and Music will all receive an N/A. • The evaluation system for Social Emotional Learning (SEL) will remain the same: 1-4, N/E, and N/A. (REPEAT) Middle and high school report card details - 6-12 report cards continue to have four grading periods/quarters. I’ve included some highlights below. • The Virtual Online Program is using these grades: o A-F - Standard grading scale. o I - Incomplete. Less than 60% of the course was completed. o P/NP - Pass/No Pass. o N/G - No Grade. Less than 10% of the course was completed and the student has not completed any work since January 22. • All middle school electives are graded as Pass/No Pass • If a student receives an Incomplete: o We will encourage that all work should be completed by the student within 2 weeks (10 days) from the end of the final grading period. o A final grade will be added when work is completed or, if not completed, an F will be added at the end of the quarter. • We will be using the Actual Grade in Edgenuity when assigning students quarter grades. When looking at Edgenuity, you may see these three grades: o Overall Grade - This is the weighted average grade for only the completed activities. o Actual Grade - This is the overall grade adjusted for progress if a student is behind. This score doesn't assume zeros for uncompleted work; simply penalizes for falling behind. o Relative Grade - This is the grade that a student would receive if they stopped working and received 0% for all unscored, counted activities. (REPEAT) High school forecasting - There are currently two different forecasting processes happening for our high school students. They are: 1. Virtual Online Program - Courses have been loaded for Quarter 3. If your student has not selected classes yet, please complete this Q3/Q4 class request form. 2. Home high school - our four high schools (Milwaukie, Putnam, Clackamas, and Nelson) are getting ready to forecast for next school year, 2021-2022. Each student has most likely received an email from their home high school. This email includes instructions on how to forecast for next year.
