Alabama QUICK FACTS will enter 27 men and 32 women and will compete in the men’s and women’s 4x400 and distance medley relays. UNIVERSITY Location Tuscaloosa, Ala. Founded April 12, 1831 Haugh Named SEC Field Athlete of the Week: Alabama senior thrower Daniel Haugh was Enrollment 38,563 named the SEC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week on Jan. 16 following his performance at the Conference Southeastern Colors Crimson and White UAB Blazer Invitational on Jan. 12. Haugh won the weight throw with a meet-record effort of Nickname Crimson Tide 71-10 (21.89m). The throw currently ranks No. 2 nationally and leads the SEC. President Dr. Stuart Bell Athletic Director Greg Byrne Faculty Athletics Representative Dr. James King Alabama in the National Rankings: The Alabama men’s track & fi eld team is ranked No. 9, COACHING STAFF while the Crimson Tide women are No. 20 in their respective U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Head Coach Dan Waters Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) preseason rankings released Jan. 10. Alabama is one of Alma Mater Kansas, 1995 four Southeastern Conference teams in the men’s top-10, joining Florida (1), Georgia (2) and Years at Alabama Seventh Season Assistant Coach (Short Sprints) Dion Miller Arkansas (3). Other SEC schools in the top-25 include Texas A&M (17) and Kentucky (18). In Assistant Coach (Jumps) Miguel Pate the women’s rankings, Alabama is one of ten SEC schools in the top-25.
