There are many golf courses accessible within a short drive, whilst the county also offers superb Salmon and Trout fishing on the rivers Don, Dee, Deveron and Ythan. A popular tourist area, ‘The Whisky Trail’ in Moray and Royal Deeside are accessible in less than an hour’s drive. Benachie, perhaps Aberdeenshire’s most painted and photographed hill is extremely popular with hill walkers and mountain bikers and also offers superb horse and pony trekking opportunities over many miles of waymarked tracks.
