We’re excited to share lots of detail about our BIG birthday party that happens THIS SATURDAY, October 1 in Salt Lake City! We’re celebrating our 5th birthday with a huge bash at the Gallivan Center in Salt Lake City. We’re so excited you’re joining us and we want to make sure you have an amazing experience, so read up to be prepped and ready to party! Checklist Bring the following: • Your ticket • Your best Posh birthday outfit (no birthday suits, please!) • A light jacket for the evening (it will be warmer during the day, but may cool down at night) • Cash for snacks, water, sodas, other treats, and some EXCLUSIVE apparel and other items (for snacks & activities on Gallivan, we’ll only be taking cash for goodies) • Blanket to chill on the lawn and chat with others and to watch the concert (seating will not be provided) • Room on your cell phone for lots of pictures and videos • A Posh T-shirt and a marker or other pen that will write on fabric so you can participate in the great t-shirt signing. See the agenda. Full details will be provided at the event • $5 cash to make your own birthday bath bomb. LIMITED time and quantity. (details announced at the event) • Your best Poshy Birthday spirit! Home Office and Distribution Center Tours For those with the appropriate ticket, you can take a tour of the Posh Home Office and Distribution Center! See how we operate on a day-to-day basis and meet some of our wonderful staff. Home Office tours will start at 8:30 AM and run every 5–10 minutes. They will end at 1 PM. Distribution Center tours will also start at 8:30 AM and run every 10 minutes. They will end at 1 PM, as well. You can choose which location you’d like to attend first. Downtown parking information is provided below. Parking at the DC is free, but limited space is available, so try to carpool when possible. You must provide your own transportation to and from the Home Office (across the street from Gallivan) and Distribution Center. Tours are only open to those who purchased a $39 VIP Ticket with the tour. HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY Warehouse Sale There will be a SALE at the Distribution Center where you can buy all the Posh goodies you can fit in ONE box. There will be two sizes of boxes available (large & small). Each attendee with a $39 ticket will be eligible to shop (you do NOT have to have a VIP tour ticket to shop—you can come only to purchase at the store, but you must get yourself to the Distribution Center to shop). The sale will take place around the BACK of the warehouse. You can tour first, or shop first. If you would like to line up to shop, please ask when you arrive and you will be taken to the line. Merchandise available includes: product, swag, exclusives, excess inventory from events and promotions, etc. There is a good bit of odds and ends. Many should have the opportunity to participate. It will be done on a first-come, first-served basis. Annual Award Earners, Pinnacles, and Platinums will have an earlier arranged time, but do not fear, there is a LOT of stuff. You can pay for your box with cash or credit card. Only $39 ticket holders may shop, and may only purchase one size and one box (you can NOT get one of each size of box). Your hand will be marked once you’ve purchased a box to prevent you from purchasing additional boxes (we want to preserve the ability to allow as many people to shop as possible). Boxes will be $49 and $99 respectively. You can get a LOT of Posh in these boxes. It will be a tremendous value, and you’ll be able to get and see things you thought you’d never see again. $49 SMALL BOX SIZE: 14x10x5 $99 LARGE BOX SIZE: 14x10x10 (TWICE THE SIZE!) Sales tax is NOT included in the purchase price of your box, and must be paid with box purchase. Once your box is purchased, you will be permitted into the shopping area (no other bags will be allowed, nor will guests. You will be asked to leave all personal belongings outside the shopping area. You must be able to carry your own box.) You will select your items and fill your box, then proceed to the exit tables. YOUR BOX MUST CLOSE WITHOUT WARPING AND BE TAPED CLOSED BEFORE YOU CAN EXIT THE WAREHOUSE SALE. You will not be permitted to return to the shopping area once your box is closed. Items may need to be removed from your box to close it. This will be done at the discretion of the warehouse sale workers. Kindly, do not argue. Remember! NO WARPING and the box must close. The sale will begin at 9 AM on Saturday, October 1. We reserve the right to limit the number of shoppers in the sale at any given time. The sale will end about 11 AM, or when we deem insufficient stock to continue the sale. You will NOT be able to ship your box home from the warehouse sale. We will provide you with an adhesive handle at exit that will stick to your closed box for ease in carrying it. You are welcome to research and ship your box on your own, or you can check it with your airline when you travel home. Many product items will be over 3.7 ounces and won’t be able to be carried on a plane. We cannot guarantee everyone will get a chance to shop, but will do our best to accommodate everyone possible. This is a “cleanout the warehouse sale.” Items may be rare and limited. Everything will be offered on a first-come, first served basis and will NOT be eligible for commission, Perks, return, nor refund. All sales are final. Some product may be damaged, discontinued, and otherwise imperfect. Please inspect all items carefully as everything will be sold “as is.” If you cannot live with a blemish on an item, please do not buy it. 5% of the proceeds of your pre-sales tax purchase will go to benefit the You Deserve It Foundation. Engagement Report April 12, 2018 Table of Contents Introduction..............................................2 Our Approach............................................3 Overview of Outreach................................7 Business Feedback Metrics........................20 Media Coverage........................................26 Qualtrics Survey Results............................29 All Comments............................................44 1 Introduction Mayor Biskupski and the Salt Lake City Council sought feedback to better understand public perceptions of City service needs and potential funding mechanisms ahead of a Council vote on April 17, 2018. The City engaged in an extensive public outreach and engagement effort to collect feedback from residents, businesses and others with a stake in the future of Salt Lake City. The following report summarizes those outreach efforts and results. Vision The City’s goal is to remain a place where all people can live, work, and play in comfort and safety. By creating more affordable housing options and connecting residents and businesses to better transit and complete streets, Salt Lake City can improve air quality and create a more resilient City for generations to come. The Need Salt Lake City’s population is growing and is expected to keep growing. The economy is strong, and the amount of people who commute into the City each day to work, learn, be entertained and seek out services, like medical care, is increasing. Salt Lake City is also the hub for northern Utah’s tourism and convention services, which increase the strain on infrastructure and services. The City’s bright future could be dimmed without investing in critical public services and as such must identify appropriate funding mechanism to address current and future growth. The Opportunity Through years of thoughtful study, planning and public involvement, City Administration and Council staff have identified unfunded one-time and ongoing needs in the areas of street maintenance, affordable housing, transit and public safety.

  • Salt Lake City Cultural Engagement Guide
National NAME Conference 2017 “Our City, Your City” Cultural Engagement Guide On behalf of the NAME Site-Planning Committee, we want to welcome you to Salt Lake City. Our city is your city! Despite current suggestions that Salt Lake City has no “night life,” we have world- class microbreweries, outdoor activities, and plenty of opportunities to listen to live music, dancing, sporting events, and over 1,700 restaurants. In fact, in the past 10 years, the cultural diaspora is changing around the world and in our community. Many of today’s best ethnic restaurant owners are former refugees and immigrants from all over the world. We have prepared a cultural guide and suggestions of places to eat, see, and experience during your visit. We are delighted to share our suggestions. We have included both family-friendly, vegan and vegetarian food options, and late-night options. A couple of things to keep in mind during your visit: • Drinking in Utah: Utah has the reputation of having some quirky liquor laws. However, laws have changed. Bars are now bars. Anyone 21 and over can go into a bar and order a drink (beer, wine, cocktail, etc.). Restaurants are now restaurants, the majority of which offer alcoholic beverages to complement their fare -- beer, wine, cocktails, etc. All packaged liquor, wine and full-strength beer must be purchased from a Utah state liquor store or a package agency. Beer (with 3.2% alcohol content by weight) in bottles or cans may be purchased to go at most grocery and convenience stores in Utah. There are several bars and social clubs just a few blocks away from the hotel.
