Shanmugam was present for today’s enquiry on behalf of his wise Tmt. S.Rajeswari, the petitioner. The Public Authority was represented by Thiru S. Kalyanam, Head Quarters Deputy Tahsildar, Tiruttani, Tiruvallur District. The petitioner requested the concerned Public Information Officer to provide her information on 10 items in respect of land in Survey Nos. 46 to 51, 51 part, 51A and 53 of 34.Mamandur Village, Tiruttani Taluk, Tiruvallur District. As there was no response from the concerned Public Information Officer, the petitioner filed the first appeal under Section 19(1) of the Right to Information Act, 2005 to the first Appellate Authority on 15.06.2011 and the second appeal under Section 19(3) to the Commission on 16.09.2011. On the basis of the appellant’s second appeal to the Commission on 16.09.2011 the Commission directed the concerned Public Information Officer to provide the requested information by the petitioner in her petition dated 16.05.2011 on 10 items on 05.12.2011 and report the fact to the Commission before 26.12.2011. The appellant made a complaint to the Commission on 13.03.2012. On the basis of the appellant’s complaint to the Commission the case was taken up for today’s hearing. The Public Information Officer informed the Commission that the requested information was supplied to the petitioner on 16.05.2012. The petitioner’s representative has stated during the enquiry that he has received information for only one item (No.9) except item Nos.1 to 8 and 10. Hence the Public Information Officer is directed to supply the correct and complete information as per Government records free of cost under Section 7(6) of the RTI Act, 2005 by Registered Post with Acknowledgement Due within two weeks from the date of enquiry and make a compliance report to the Commission within three weeks of this order.
