HSTY (Har Sinai Temple Youth) NEWS Graham Tebb, Advisor

During March, HSTY was scheduled to participate in a social action event at the Katzenbach center. Unfortunately, Homefront was not ready for us, so the event has been postponed. Instead, some of the members joined in the BCTY board meeting/shmooze and are working together to plan a NY trip.

Meanwhile, our own plans are proceeding. Many of the HSTY kids took part in the Purim Shpiel, with some of the older kids working at the Purim Carnival afterwards. But it isn't all work, and the Soda Pong is scheduled to take place April 17th. The T-shirt contest will also take place on this date. How many different ways can you say "HSTY?"

Still in the planning stages is the Paintball event for early May.

HAMAN BASH A HUGE HIT AT LASER TAG!

The Shovavim Laser Park Purim Party, held on Sunday, March 13th, was a big success, with 15 kids partici pating from the 3rd through 5th grades. The kids came ready to zap their foes (in the spirit of obliterating Haman) eat some pizza, and try their luck at the arcade. While we only had one girl participate (our symbolic Esther), it was indeed a party fit for a King or a Queen.

Thanks to all who participated, and a special thanks to our chaperone parents, Marc Whitman and Jean Sibner.

Watch for news about our next Shovavim event, coming soon!!!!
