(a) whether the Government is aware of the fact that 80 labourers of Western Coal Fields(WCL) Pench and Kanhan Coal Mines in died during the first and second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic and their deaths were mentioned as Covid-suspected deaths in their death certificates; (b) whether their deaths were termed Covidsuspected deaths even though the victims were Covidpositive, were quarantined, treated in covid wards and were finally cremated as per covid protocol; and (c) whether the Government will consider declaring their deaths as covid deaths and provide them compensation of Rs.15 lakh each as demanded by the Trade Union INTUC of Parasia, Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh and if so, the details thereof?
