State-Regulated Gaming Facilities There are now more than 500 smokefree casinos and gambling facilities in the U.S. It is required by law in 20 states, a growing number of cities, and in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. In addition, a growing number of sovereign American Indian tribes have made their gambling jobsites smokefree indoors (see page 9).
