If you're totally lost to the concept of magick, this book sheds some insight.By Sourdough PretzelThis packed full of all the basic concepts one who is interested in practicing needs to know, regardless of what their path is regarding their magickal truth. This book is also free from dogma which is an extremely rare occurrence in terms of the general experience one probably has when searching for a book that actually shines some light on what magick ACTUALLY is. It also discusses ethics in some detail which I have shockingly found that a lot of books don't or really don't make it seem like an important conversation, when in reality a magick user's perspective on ethics is crucial. If you're looking for somewhere to start in terms of a strictly magickal practice this book is very useful free from the "fluff" so many other books on this subject try to feed you.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Good book for beginners!By Maya S.I started reading this book when I borrowed it from the library. I decided to buy my own copy because it seemed like what I was looking for (and pages were ripped out for some reason, so I was missing out on a lot of juicy stuff, haha!). It definitely seems like a great book for beginners. I like that it is pretty detailed and provides resources for you to do further research and investigation.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Sabbat celebrations: These help us find the purpose and joy in the season, orient us on the Wheel of the Year, reconnect us to fun, and allow us to socialize and feast. Deities are usually involved, but often the focus is really on the season. There is a difference between creating rituals for special occasions and living your life in a mindful, sacred way, so that every bit of your daily routine becomes a ritual. The latter is another topic entirely, and it is beyond the scope of this book. Book: Ritualcraft Creating Rites For Transformation And Celebration by Azrael Arynn. This is extremely informative AND entertaining to read! It's a hefty book and its packed with excellent ideas for rituals, as well as some interesting Historical facts about different kinds of rituals from various cultures. I can't say enough, that if you're interested in learning more about rituals, or if you're a ritual crafter yourself, you won't regret buying this book. This book will not only teach you how to create rituals, but it also walks you through the parts of ritual, and prompts individuality in their creation. Plus, the authors share their own wonderful (and horrible)experiences, making this book down to earth and real.
