West Sussex County Council (Turners Hill and Balcombe: Public Footpaths 76W and 21Ba) (Temporary Closure) Order 2021 NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Public Footpaths 76W in the parish of Turners Hill, from the parish boundary with Balcombe, north-eastwards for a distance of 100 metres, and Public footpath 21Ba in the parish of Balcombe, from the parish boundary with Turners Hill, south-eastwards for a distance of 100 metres. The above location is the site of a footbridge that has fallen into disrepair and is not safe for use. The closure of the above route is necessary to maintain public safety until repairs can be completed. The Order extends the operation of an existing public notice and will come into effect on 25 April 2021. Once made the Order is expected to remain in force for up to 6 months. An alternative footbridge has been provided nearby.
