• In Buddhism and Hinduism, karma is about cause and effect. What goes around comes around, etc etc Anything we do affects everything else. Our actions have consequences and karma is an invisible power – our lives today is a reflection of our past • for every action – physical action AND our thoughts too – when we have a negative thought, it goes into the atmosphere and joins all the others, then we have a powerful negative effect. • we are all linked by karma and all we do comes back to us. Our words of action come back to us – need to be consciously aware that to change the world, we have to change ourselves

• The energy now is so fast: we can clean up our karma very quickly or leave it • We cannot show somebody our mind – it’s a huge piece of energy, doesn’t disappear – just changes. • If you don’t like someone BLESS them – to think bad thoughts of them, or wish them ill, that creates bad karma for yourself. You’ll never be happy at someone else’s expense . . . • if it is your intention, either good or bad, you’ll get different kinds of karma

• A criticism of others comes back to us; can’t be compassionate and judgmental at the same time. • If we are not grateful, we are arrogant which means we see others as beneath or above us. • How a country takes care of its animals tell an awful lot about that country

• You have to come from a negative place to do harm to others; to come from a positive place will not do harm intentionally.

• Kindness costs nothing; gives people hope. Even a smile helps another person – lifts their day!

• Yes, of course there is bad karma – nothing goes away until you do something about it goals of the Universe: ever lasting love! yes we can change karma by changing our attitude to the highest good for others – once we change our attitude, karma automatically begins to change we can sow really good seeds in the minds of people just by having a conversation with them – that is how powerful we are as human beings.

• Doesn’t matter how bad you feel: you can always begin again!!! • Have to learn to love yourself enough – no judgment on self; take full responsibility; accuse no one; you own what’s yours = accept what you are – • if you screw up, forgive yourself and carry on and if you screw up again, forgive yourself again and carry on. It’s about learning, repetition – you can train your brain to do positive thinking, not negative thinking

MR: brings up the creed churches have people learn and repeat: I am a poor miserable sinner – how do we get beyond that? • Religions teach us to be less than; spirituality asks us to ask forgiveness is we made a mistake, and if you harmed someone else, ask for forgiveness – it’s about separating the dogma out • the major religions got rich on people’s guilt, threatneing hell, etc etc • If you can’t love your enemies, just bless them and let them go so you don’t give up your own energy.

COR: the idea of organized religion is to separate people from their own divinity – easier to send people to war if they are separated from their higher selves - O: was only 12 hours old and rushed to the church for baptism organized religion is very arrogant there are a lot of people who are into organized religion because it keeps them save COR: If your intention is to live love as Jeshua taught, that is great. O: when he said turn the other cheek, he meant get out of that energy and turn away – don’t get involved in that negative energy. • Can shift your karma in the blink of an eye, yet you have to feel that!! • O told addicts that if you want to be an addict, be the best that you can be – she didn’t get after them for coming in high! She was planting seeds and eventually, they did not come in high. • And she wasn’t shaming them: she could honour them for being a full-blown addict! • She learned so much from the people she worked with: saw the beautiful soul inside them • She’ll say “And how’s that working for you?” rather than getting after them about their behaviour • people can be addicted to anything!

Karma is a great teacher if we pay attention to it – and it could we need 51% of karma paid back and we are done – then you cannot create any more!!!

Then 2 weeks later, told her friend the cat was back – had an exact description and the friend went looking • then they went to a rescue place and found the exact one! • This cat is taking care of her – acting like her other cat! O said “She IS your cat – accept it” C Randy: same thing happened to him – got his cat back around Christmas he sits on top of the speakers and listens – reached out and touched his 3rd eye the more spiritual we are – understaind the spiritual laws O: loves the black panthers – went into a meditation and went into the jungle with them people hurting animals is bad karma for themselves MR: brings up the Ringling Bros circus ceasing its operations after 149 years of shows O: lots of people boycotting circuses and what people are doing to animals

• People do not like being locked up, either, or doing tricks for others

O: A free will choice question: he’s more into surviving than living; has very little insight into himself – he’ll be OK in terms of surviving; • has to learn about controlling temper and controlling mouth • bless him on his journey; don’t let him be disrespectful to you C: isn’t; never has been O: good – but he can be disrespectful of other people! Ask him not to be like that in front of you – Connie: the girl’s name is Connie! She’s Philipinol O: He might work things out for himself! That fits – goes with his personality – they are far more submissive due to the culture than others he could be involved with. MR: having just lost her dog- had an insight that the energy was like a pet from her childhood. is he coming back soon? Another dog soon or not?

Many animals share one soul MR: maybe get the same genetics but they may not be soul group O: be specific about what you want: if you ask for the same soul group, may not be the same breed; if you want a loving, happy, high-spirited, intelligent dog – ask for that from the same group; will be another dog of the same calbire not necessarily an Australian Shepherd – which will probably pick her out! COR: an excellent idea to aks for one from the same soul group – it’s up to MR for her choice MR: why was he only here for such a short time – not even a year; brought so much joy and love O: it was purely accidental the way that he left T: MR was asking for joy at a profound level; and that joy doesn’t have to go away and you will meet that beautiful soul energy in the most unlikely of places MR: the loss of him brought up all the other losses she’s had in her family – the gift in this is to heal that? O, COR: Yes, T: and they are not gone either; there is a new dispensation here: you are reconnecting with what you still have O: he came into the life to help you heal the past loves, past friends, past families – came with a purpose, once it’s done, they leave

CR: sometimes – after he lost the cat and got over the grief and he opened his heart very widely • the night he passed away, he came in spirit and said he’d come back in another cat of his own choice – and the cat R got was a rescue cat, brought to him by the same person who brought him his first cat, called Puddy. O: when you are open to it, the miracles that happen are amazing. They do happen but we have to be open to it.

COR: felt like that it’s not every an accident or happenstance when someone wonderful comes into tour lives there is so much healing in that joy – when we are grieving that loss we are also healing that loss – really reminding us how important – Ozzi is thrilled by being on the other side, doesn’t feel like budging! O: he reminded her of the joy she’d also had in her life MR: the night before he left, he laid crossways on her lap! He was right there – just showing how much he loved her and saying good bye – and the night before that, he’d been seeing other dimensions above MR’s head. Interesting to observe in retrospect T: she hears him say he has lots of great stories of his experiences here and if she wants to have a chat with him, he is available. It’s only another dimension – doesn’t mean anything but an enhanced experience as long as we keep our hearts open. The animal chooses you!!! MR: she waited so long to have this dog – the lady who gave him the dog asked if she was the lady who wanted the Australian Shepherd! This happened at some kind of show.

His journey began in 1978 when a small bank of misfits preaching nazism and waving swastikas decided to march through the predominantly Jewish Chicago suburb of Skokie. Suddenly an

The outraged community was determined either to prevent the march or to confront the neo-nazis on the parade route. Many Skokie residents were Holocaust survivors and remembered well that only fifty years before, Hitler’s circle had also started as a small band of social misfits. The Jewish community would not ignore an attempt to reintroduce the nazi concept–no matter how feeble the source.

But establishment Jewish leaders counseled Jews to shutter their windows and pay no attention. And a Jewish attorney from the American Civil Liberties Union rose reluctantly to champion the neo-nazis’ right to freedom of expression–over the survivors’ right to be left alone. In covering the issue as a young journalist and reacting to the crisis as a Jew and the son of Holocaust survivors, he was confused by the response of Jewish leaders.

To prepare for a Chicago Reader interview with the Jewish ACLU attorney representing the neo- nazis, he spoke with Jewish scholar Rabbi Byron Sherwin. He told Edwin Black there were many enigmas about the Jewish response to nazism, one of which was a long-rumored arrangement between the Third Reich and the Zionist Organization involving the transfer of German Jewish assets to Palestine. He added that little was known about the arrangement, if it indeed existed.

Edwin Black couldn’t believe what he had heard. The possibility of a Zionist-nazi arrangement for the sake of Israel was inconceivable for a person of his background. His mother, as a girl, had been pushed by her mother through the vent of a boxcar on the way to the Treblinka death camp. She was shot by nazi soldiers and buried in a shallow mass grave. His father had stepped out of line during a long march to a destiny with death. While hiding in the woods, he came upon a leg protruding from the snow. This was his mother.

Together, by night and by courage, these two Polish teenagers survived in the forest for two years. When the war was over, they cautiously emerged from the woods believing that nearly all Jews may have been exterminated–except them. The question for them was whether there was still any use being “Jewish.” And yet–believing themselves to be among the last of their people – they decided to live on, as Jews, and never forget.

Quickly, his parents learned that others had survived, although almost none from their families. They resettled in the United States.

Edwin Black was born in Chicago, raised in Jewish neighborhoods, and his parents tried never to speak of their experience. Like the other children of Holocaust survivors, his life was overshadowed by his family’s tragedy. And, like other Jews, he saw the State of Israel as the salvation and redemption of the remnant of the Jewish people. He had spent time on a kibbutz and returned to Israel several times after that. For years, he considered emigrating to Israel. The very meaning of Israel was a deep motivation in his life.

Yet there were incongruities he could never understand. Everywhere he looked in Israel, he saw German equipment. The icons of nazi commerce– Mercedes, Grundig, Siemens, Krupp–were thriving in the Jewish State, even as the ban on Wagner’s music was strictly enforced. And so

2017-01-19 Stargate Roundtable Call 13 / 16 many families were German Jews who had come to Israel during the Hitler era. For a year, he filed Rabbi Sherwin’s rumor in a mental box of imponderables. He had said many times that the most important rule in approaching the Holocaust is that nothing makes sense. And yet he needed to make sense out of it. If he could, then perhaps there was a reason his mother and father had lived, while six million had died.

Working through the staff and resources of Spertus College of Judaica, he was able to obtain some rare Hebrew and German materials that documented in skeletal form that the arrangement indeed existed. After a great deal of personal anguish, he made his decision.

When he told his parents, his mother threatened to disown him and my father threatened to personally strangle him if he dared lend any credence to the notion of nazi-Zionist cooperation. This was done against a background of rising anti-Semitic and anti-Israeli attempts to somehow link the nazi regime with Zionists.

When he later showed his parents a hundred-page summary of his proposed book, his mother cried and said, “now I understand what I could never understand. Write the book.”

His father, who fought in the war as a Zionist Betar partisan, also gave him his blessing with the simple words: “Go write the book.”

His agent said he thought there was only one editor with the stamina to take on this book. That man was Edward T. Chase, editor-in-chief of new York Times Books, a man with preeminent credentials in WWII and Holocaust books.

Chase read the proposal and said yes.

He spent the next several years traveling through Germany, Israel, England, and the United States, locating forgotten files in archives, scouring newspapers of the era, interviewing principals, and surveying government papers. Millions of microfilm frames of captured nazi documents had never been analyzed. Boxes of boycott papers had never been organized. Worse, he found that little had been written about Hitler’s first year–1933.

American Jewish leaders refusing even to criticize the Third Reich. Principal players who said one thing in public and did the opposite in private. Everything was upside down. And historians of the period told me they were equally confused about what had really occurred.

Finally Edwin Black was able to piece the information together and reconstruct events.

To do so, he had to clear his mind of preconceived notions and stare at the situation through the eyes of those who lived through it. And yet, after all the researching and reading and writing,his intense inner attachment to the Zionist concept and Jewish nationalism and the State of Israel only deepened. That’s because he had finally made sense of it. And anyone who does will understand Zionism for what it is: a national movement, with the rights and wrongs, the ethics and expediencies, found in any other national movement.

The Jews were the first to recognize the Hitler threat and the first to react to that threat.

The fact they were foiled by their own disunity merely puts them in the company of all mankind.

• Who did not confront the Hitler menace with indecision? • Who did not seal pacts of expediency with the Third Reich?

The Catholic Church, the Lutheran Church, and the Supreme Moslem Council all endorsed the Hitler regime. The United States, England, France, Italy, Russia, Argentina, Japan, Ireland, Poland, and dozens of other nations all signed friendship and trade treaties and knowingly contributed to German economic and military recovery. The international banking and commercial community–no less than the Zionists–saw Germany as indispensable to its salvation. The Zionists were indeed in the company of all mankind–with this exception: The Jews were the only ones with a gun to their heads.

Hitler was not unique; he was organized. But among Hitler’s enemies, none were organized – except the Zionists. The world recognized the Hitler threat and hoped it would not arrive. The Zionists recognized the Hitler threat and always expected it. The events of the Hitler era and the Transfer Agreement were ultimately determined by those factors.
