Coinstar, LLC (“Coinstar” or the “Company”) completed its first “whole business securitization” in May 2017. The company has contributed most of its revenue-generating assets to Coinstar Funding LLC as collateral for the offered notes. The transaction is structured as a master trust. The Series 2018-1, Class A-2 Notes represent Coinstar’s second securitization and shares the collateral with the Series 2017-1, Class A-1 Notes and Series 2017-1, Class A-2 Notes. A high-end department store chain such as Nordstrom falls on the high end of the implied demand uncertainty scale. There is significant variety of products that Nordstrom carries and it is generally hard to predict demand for these fashion items. The fashion items that Nordstrom stocks have extremely high product margin, high forecast errors and stockout rates, and once the season is over, these items are sold at deep discounts at their Nordstrom Rack outlet stores. 3. Before the impact of COVID-19, Elena worked in a restaurant kitchen. Due to the economic fallout from the pandemic, she— like tens of millions of people across the country—lost her job. As Elena saw the nutritious food available for her to take home to help feed her family of seven, she smiled, excited about the meals she could prepare amid a devastating time of unemployment and uncertainty. Women like Elena are overrepresented in some of the hardest-hit industries for job loss, including leisure and hospitality, healthcare and education, and women—especially “ Black and Latino women—lost jobs in those sectors I’M VERY at disproportionate rates.
