N/A Review of Minutes Ms. HerBert-Ashton made a motion to approve the March 30, Ms. Herbert-Ashton 2015 meeting minutes. Ms. Anguiano seconded the motion and the motion was unanimously approved. Old Business Planning Summit-SWOT Analysis Review Ms. Herbert-Ashton Ms. Herbert-Ashton reviewed the SWOT Analysis results from the Planning Summit in April, identifying the top six Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats, and their overarching themes. Budget, enrollment and communication were the major themes that surfaced from the discussions. The College Mission, Vision and Core Values were ratified at the Planning Summit and by the Steering Team as well. New Business Institutional Goals Discussion Ms. HerBert-Ashton made a motion to approve the Institutional Ms. Koudelik-Jones The SWOT Analysis findings, the mission/vision/core values, and the Goals as presented for the new strategic plan, Success 2021. Each division will identify detailed objectives that will funnel downward to apply to every sector of the institution. These goals/objectives will prove to be readily measureable and will tie back to the College strategic plan (and budget), the VCCS strategic plan, the Chancellors goals and the College goals, thus creating the full picture of Virginia Western. The next step will be to present the strategic plan to the Local Dr. Falconetti and Ms. Herbert-Ashton will present the new Advisory Board for approval at the September meeting. strategic plan to the Local Advisory Board in September 2015.
