ELECTION DEFINITION: Temp / Power Test Deck Pattern:

The Test Deck will consist of 100 hand marked ballots for each precinct. The voting pattern will consist of a matrix pattern and three exception votes handled by the tabulators. The test decks will be voted X times rotating the orientation on each deck cycle. The 4 orientations will be cycled for the duration of the accuracy test.

Ballots 1-45: Undervote the straight party selection. Each candidate should have the number of ballots corresponding to their position on the ballot: 1st candidate-1 ballot, 2nd candidate–2 ballots, and 3rd candidate–3 ballots. Continue the pattern for all 9 candidates including write in. The last position should include 9 ballots with all write-ins selected. Vote “Yes” for each proposal on the 1st ballot; vote “No” for each proposal on the 2nd and 3rd ballots and vote Yes for each proposal on the remaining ballots 4-45.

Ballots 46-81: Vote Straight Party only. Each party should have the number of ballots corresponding to their position on the ballot: First party- 1 ballot, Second party – 2 ballots, Third party – 3 ballots and continue the pattern for all 8 parties.

Ballots 82-89: Undervote Straight Party contest, Partisan contests and both proposals. Only vote the Non-Partisan contests. Vote one ballot for each ballot position including write in for all Non-Partisan contests.

This election was designed to functionally test the handling of multiple ballot styles, support for at least three languages including a Ideographic based language, support for common voting variations, and audio support for at least three languages and a ADA binary input device. Test patterns 3 and 4 were chosen for input in the Spanish language because it is a basic voting pattern with a write-in. Test patterns 5 and 6 were chosen for audio input using the Spanish language to demonstrate support for write-in voting using an ADA device with and alternative language. Test pattern 7 was chosen for Ideographic based language input because it is a basic vote pattern using Chinese. Test pattern 8 was chosen for character based language using an ADA device to demonstrate support for Ideographic based ADA device support. Test pattern 9 was chosen for binary input to show support for ADA binary input device. Test pattern 10 was chosen for binary input using ADA audio deceive to show support for binary input and ADA support.
