In the first two decades of the century, Joe Biden's choice for secretary of state supported U.S. wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen. He was an ever-reliable liberal interventionist. This same Antony Blinken could spend the first years of a potential Biden presidency helping ex- tricate our country from the misbegotten wars he championed. Tuesday, December 1, 2020 Page 5 Junior Auxiliary of Abbeville’s Annual Holiday Harvest

The Junior Auxiliary of Abbeville celebrated with the Boys and Girls Club last Wednesday night with their annual “Holiday Harvest”. It was a fun night of family time, playing bin- go, and enjoying a Thanksgiving feast! Each bingo winner received gift cards to local fast- food restaurants. The kids received their very own pumpkin to decorate and bring home with them. A Thanksgiving feast was provided by Champagne’s Supermarket of Erath, desert was provided by Guidry’s Cake shop of New Iberia. The Junior Auxiliary vol- unteers helped serve the food, organize the bingo game, and made sure all the families were having a good time. The meal was led by a prayer from one of the members of the Boys and Girls Club, reminding us in these strange times, what we should be thankful for. Family, togetherness, and good food of course! Our members look forward to this event every year and they really put a lot of hard work into this event. It’s a time for us to share a memory with these wonderful kids that we get to work with throughout the year. Happy Thanksgiving.
