Exhibit 4 PRESENTATION BY: DR. MARK EMMERT PRESIDENT NATIONAL COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION Dr. Mark A. Emmert became the fifth president of the NCAA in October 2010. As president he has championed greater support for student-athlete wellness and academic success. His commitment to the academic success of athletes is also reflected in newly heightened academic standards for initial eligibility. Additionally, he ushered the Association into a new Division I governance structure. Prior to assuming his current role, Emmert served as president of his alma mater, the University of Washington, beginning in 2004 and has been named president emeritus. During his tenure, the university rose to its standing as second among all public and private institutions in research funding with $1.3 billion in annual grants and contracts. Under his leadership, the university concluded a $2.6 billion fundraising campaign. Prior to returning to his alma mater, Emmert was chancellor of Louisiana State University from 1999 to 2004. He served as provost and chancellor of the University of Connecticut (1995-1999), provost and vice president for academic affairs at Montana State University (1992-1995), and associate vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Colorado (1985-1992). A Washington native, Dr. Emmert earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Washington and has both a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in public administration from Syracuse University. Emmert holds an honorary doctorate of humanities degree from Monmouth University and an honorary doctorate of laws degree from Molloy College. Emmert and his wife, DeLaine, have two adult children and two grandchildren. -
Attorney for Victim 5: Paterno Family Report Is Self-Serving, Does Nothing for the Victims
By Ivey DeJesus PennLive.com Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 Attorney for Victim 5: Paterno family report is self-serving, does nothing for the victims The attorney for one of Jerry Sandusky's victims - known in court as Victim 5 - blasted the newly released Paterno family report defending the late coach's handling of the child sex crime case as a self-serving critique of the Freeh investigation. Philadelphia attorney Tom Kline, who represented Victim 5 throughout the Sandusky trial, said the Paterno family's report falls short by focusing solely on Joe Paterno, his tarnished legacy and criticism of him. "There's nothing in this report which advances the victims," Kline said. "This is all about Joe Paterno and his legacy and restoring his reputation. When the victims, to a one, I'm quite certain, will feel the real focus should be on them and what was done to them and how it was allowed to happen on Penn State campus ... right under the nose of the coach. That's really what this is about." Kline said the victims largely see the report as the latest answer in "an intramural squabble" between the family and those involved in the Sandusky matter. "The clear purpose of the report is to attempt to elevate and restore Paterno's reputation when Penn State has been working to a different goal, which is to try and turn the corner for the university," Kline said. "I don't see how this personalized fight that is now picked by the Paterno family with Penn State, Louis Freeh and the NCAA advances the ball, to use a football analogy, one yard." The Paterno family report, which found the Freeh report flawed, changes nothing, Kline said. -

The Betrayal of Joe Paterno: How It All Probably Happened
The Betrayal of Joe Paterno: How It All Probably Happened Submitted by jzadmin on Wed, 07/10/2013 - 10:54 “A lie gets half way around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.” Winston Churchill "In the aftermath of the Freeh Report, the powers that be at present at Penn State should have the good graces to suspend the football program for at least a year, perhaps more.” Bob Costas, July 17th, 2012 “That doesn’t necessarily make sense.” Bob Costas, May 29th, 2013, on the underlying theory of the same Freeh Report A year ago this week the Freeh Report investigation of Penn State and Joe Paterno was released to great fanfare. Largely because of that report, most people seem to think they know the story of the Jerry Sandusky scandal. Almost all of them are at least somewhat mistaken, and most are very wrong about what actually happened. Amazingly, the average media person, because they have a stronger incentive to believe they didn’t blindly perpetrate a false narrative, appears to be even more in the dark than the typical American is about the real truth of this tragedy. After spending most of the past year and a half researching, pondering, and speaking to more people closer to the Jerry Sandusky case than likely anyone else in the world, even I am still not positive that I know exactly what really transpired in the so called “Penn State Scandal.” While I am quite certain that the largely accepted media storyline of some concerted “cover up” by Penn State of Sandusky’s crimes is false, I am somewhat convinced that we may never know for sure precisely what actually did occur. -

National Institute for the Study, Prevention and Treatment of Sexual Trauma 104 E. Biddle Street Baltimore, MD 21202 (410) 539-1661 [email protected] February 6, 2013 J. Sedwick Sollers, III Attorney at Law King and Spalding, LLP 1700 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Suite 200 Washington, DC 20006-4707 RE: Joseph Paterno Dear Mr. Sollers: As an expert on Pedophilia, I am writing in response to a request for my professional opinions about the document titled “Report of the Special Investigative Counsel Regarding the Actions of the Pennsylvania State University Related to the Child Sexual Abuse Committed by Gerald A. Sandusky.” That document, which had been produced by Freeh, Sporkin, and Sullivan, LLP, is dated July 12, 2012, and it has sometimes been referred to as the “Freeh Report.” I was asked to focus on inferences that have been made about Joseph Paterno in that report, and to additionally focus on his response to the information he received about Gerald A. Sandusky. I have been asked to do so in light of my extensive experience in assessing and treating pedophilia, and in researching and addressing child sexual abuse, and related issues. My professional background also includes training in the behavioral sciences, and in the assessment of mental and motivational states. To that end, I have testified in Federal Court on more than one occasion as an expert psychiatric witness; providing information to jurors to assist them in determining the motivational state (i.e., the mental intent) of accused defendants. Because the “Freeh Report” has made certain inferences about Joseph Paterno’s alleged mental motivations, I will comment briefly about that aspect of the report as well. -
