Jim Rice: •Jim Rice was in the movie Fever Pitch. •In 1974 for the Red Sox’s AAA team, Rice won the ROY, hit for the Triple Crown,While and won the We MVP award. Wait •Jim Rice saved a child’s life after a line drive to the face. Rice grabbed the kid immediately and carried him to the clubhouse, where doctor’s saved his life. Guerrero: •As a little boy, Vladimir dreamed of being a singer and dancer in an all-Guerrero merengue band. •Vladimir dropped out of school at 13 to help his family make ends meet. He worked selling fish. •The Dodgers, who loved Vladimir’s arm but worried about his speed, worked him out at catcher when he was at their academy in Las Palmas.
Vladimir Guerrero should be in the Hall of Fame. When comparing him to Jim Rice, a hall of famer, he compares favorably. His Standard Test score is 54, and the average HOF scores 50. He is also "essentially similar" to Jim Rice in their similarity tests. Guerrero has more home runs, a much higher OPS, a much higher RC/27, and a much higher ISO. Lastly, Guerrero is still playing, and likely will play a few more seasons and improve his numbers even more.
