Maasai Mara Lake Nakuru Safari is a popular choice for all travelers. Maasai Mara is famous for its exceptional population of lions, leopards, cheetahs and its annual migration of zebra and wildebeest from July to October. Lake Nakuru is found in the central part of Kenya and is one of the Rift valley soda lakes famous for the big five and bird’s sanctuary. Great Rift Valley and lunch stop-over. Travel time to Mara will take around 5-6 hrs. Along the way, there will be a stopover at the Great Rift Valley where you can take photos of the sheer drop of the Rift Valley, as well as the nearby Suswa Ranges and Mount Longonot. There will also be a stop-over at Narok Town for lunch where a simple buffet of traditional Kenyan foods awaits. Upon arrival at Mara, you can settle in and rest before proceeding to an afternoon game drive at Maasai Mara National Reserve. Accommodation: Masai mara – Mwangaza Camp or Similar Meals & drinks: Lunch & dinner Drinking water (Other drinks not included) Safari Day 2: Maasai Mara full day Game viewing Full Day Game Drive After breakfast, you will leave for a full day game drive in Maasai Mara National Park. This is home to over 3 million large mammals. Our experienced tour guide/ driver will take you in search for the famous Big 5 among other animals: Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant, Rhino, Hyena, Cheetah, Jackal, Warthog, Giraffe, Zebra, Antelope wildebeest, and various bird species. Picnic lunch will be served at Mara River as you witness the famous migration. Visit to a Maasai Village* An optional visit to a Masai village can be arranged after the game drive. Maasai warriors are famously known as the proud nomadic tribe whose legendary prowess in battle and single-handed acts of bravery in fights with the wild animals are known across the world. This visit gives a good tour of Maasai culture and you will be welcomed with a sing and dance presentation, which forms part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. *Entrance fee of 15 USD is not included in the package. Picnic lunch will be served. You will arrive in Lake Nakuru early in the evening in time for dinner. Accommodation will be at Golden Palace Resort. Lake Nakuru is a renowned paradise for Bird Watchers with its high population of birds, the most famous being the thousands of flamingos which form a very beautiful deep pink coloration around the edges of the lake shore. Apart from these flamingos, there are also over 400 species of birds visiting the lake. Animals can also be sighted in the park including the Rothschild’s Giraffe, Black and White Rhino, and Waterbuck, Reedbuck, Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Baboon and several other species of plains game. Accommodation: Lanet Mat fam Resort or Similar Meals & drinks: All meals included Drinking water (Other drinks not included) Safari Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Nairobi (167 km – 3 hours) After breakfast, you will once again embark on a game drive in Lake Nakuru and feast your eyes with sightings of flamingos, often referred to as the “Pink Lake”. If you’re lucky, you might also see small game such as Water Buck, Impala, Rhino and Buffalo within the garden’s surroundings. After lunch, you will depart for Nairobi and arrive around 4-5 pm late afternoon depending on traffic conditions. You will be dropped in any of our drop-off points most convenient to you.
