What’s Known on This Subject Pediatric mortality from SARS-CoV-2 is uncommon. Previous studies have reported risk factors associated with severe COVID-19 disease and MIS-C, and case series from Europe and China have described clinical features of pediatric SARS-CoV-2-associated deaths. What This Study Adds SARS-CoV-2-associated deaths among persons <21 years of age during February–July 2020 occurred predominantly among older adolescent males and Black (non-Hispanic) and Hispanic persons. Obesity, asthma, and developmental disorders were the most commonly reported underlying conditions.
