    Ministère de la Culture Rapport d’activités 2006 du Ministère de la Culture Rapport d’activités 2006 1 Ministère de la Culture Déclaration gouvernementale Etat de la mise en oeuvre du 4 août 2004 au 15 mars 2007 La culture est un moyen d’ouvrir et de faire progresser notre société. La politique culturelle qu’entend mener le Gouverne- ment a pour but, à un moment où l’Europe s’élargit à de nouveaux pays et à d’autres cultures, d’enraciner et d’étendre le rayonnement culturel du Luxembourg. Tant la pratique de la culture que le contact avec les différentes expressions de l’activité culturelle ou encore la rencontre avec d’autres réalités culturelles que celles de notre pays peuvent contribuer à lutter contre toutes sortes de fanatismes et créer un réseau de solidarité. Le Gouvernement entend utiliser et développer à cet effet toutes les potentialités publiques et privées des différents secteurs culturels. 1) A l’instar de l’année culturelle 1995, la structure orga- nisant la manifestation «Luxembourg et Grande Région, Capitale européenne de la culture, 2007», ensemble avec la ville partenaire de Sibiu en Roumanie, s’est donné comme objectif de faire de 2007 une nouvelle année-phare pour la vie artistique et socioculturelle de notre pays. Le projet 2007, manifestation grand public ambitieuse et forte d’un label européen unanimement reconnu, entend soutenir la création de contenus artis- tiques luxembourgeois, transfrontaliers et européens et générera sans aucun doute de nouveaux publics ainsi qu’un brassage des publics. Il s’inscrira résolument dans une logique cohérente de positionnement économique et géopolitique («Standortpolitik ») que notre pays pour- suit depuis des décennies.
