To check this out simply enter www.bluegrass-museum.org, click on membership and giving, on the list of options on the left side of your screen. Then scroll down again to associations under membership and giving, again on the left of the screen. There are 5 associations currently listed there at the bottom of the Assn. Membership blurb. We are one of them.

Then again go to the list on the left of your screen and click on Worldwide Bluegrass. Click again on the left under Worldwide Bluegrass on Bluegrass Associations and scroll down to Seven Mountains. This is a link to our website.

A well spent donation to IBMM on our part as we get the benefit of a worldwide link to our website, national recognition as a member association and we help in funding the activities of the IBMM.

This is an outstanding museum and one that the bluegrass community and our members can be proud of, and a desti- nation worth the trip for anyone interested in bluegrass and it's history.

BAND BIOS November 30, Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper

Our fifth Saturday in November Band is one of the most award winning bands in bluegrass.

Michael is filling in the concert spot for Danny Paisley who suf- fered a heart attack late in Octo- ber. We wish Danny a speedy re- covery.

Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper brings the hard driving fiddle of multi-award winning fiddle player Mike Cleveland and his fine band to play for us. Nathan Livers from Louisville is on Mandolin. Tyler Griffith from Avon, Indiana plays bass. Joshua Richards is on Guitar and lead vocals and is from Leota, Indiana. Banjo and Resonator are played by Glenn Gibson from Louisville. They have had several songs, and a CD as songs and album of the year and have numerous other IBMA awards in the last several years. If you love hard driving traditional bluegrass, you can’t afford to miss this show. Traditional bluegrass, the way it’s meant to be played.

December 14, Boxcars

Our December Band should need no introduction as this is the 3rd straight year they have been our December Band. One of the all-time favorites to perform here, they always draw a large crowd and their performances are always memorable. These fine musicians and vocalists always present a full concert of their hit recordings, a mixture of tradi- tional and contemporary bluegrass. A multi-award winning group both separately and together, in- strumentally and vocally, they are: on mandolin and vocals, on banjo and vocals, Keith Garrett on guitar and vocals, John Bowman on fiddle and vocals, and Harold Nixon on bass. They also will be trading instru- ments around throughout their performance as all are multi-instrumentalists. Let's turn out in record numbers for this performance to welcome this fine group back again to our stage.

Page 6 BAND BIOS January 12, The Crowe Brothers

Our January band will be the Crowe Brothers , from Maggie Valley , NC. They performed for years with the legendary Raymond Fairchild and for the last decade or so have been fronting their own band. They will entertain us with their great harmony vocals that only siblings can produce.

In addition to Josh on Guitar and Wayne on Bass, the rest of the band consists of Steve Sut- ton on Banjo , and multi-instrumentalist Brian Blaylock on Mandolin and whatever other instru- ment he brings to the stage. This is a multi talent- ed band which is rich in the traditional style bluegrass that our members love. You are sure to love this band.

February 8, The Larry Stephenson Band

Our February Concert will feature the outstanding voice of Larry Stephenson and his band. Larry is always a favorite in our area whenever he plays here. He possesses one of those voices that, when you hear it, you immediately know who it is. He has been churning out hit recordings for almost 30 years and has a list of awards to show for his work.

In addition to Larry on Mandolin and lead vocals, he brings a top flight band to our stage consisting of the Legendary Kenny Ingram on Banjo and vocals, native Pennsylvanian Danny Stewart Jr. on Bass, and newcomer Colby Laney on guitar, vocals and just about any other instrument he decides to play. It will be great to welcome Larry back to our stage as well as seeing the great Kenny Ingram again, who has been firing up the banjo ever since his days with & the Nashville Grass.

*** You have asked for and we have listened. For the many that have commented that they want more traditional bluegrass on our concert schedule, the above bands fit perfectly into this category. Your attendance in large numbers will insure that we stay the course having pure traditional music more often in the future.
