Sri P.Suresh, Ranga Reddy District 500 089 has filed a Complaint dated 26-12-2017 which was received by this Commission on 29-12-2017 for not getting the information sought by him from the PIO / The Deputy Tahsildar, Gandipet Mandal, Ranga Reddy District

The brief facts of the case as per the Complaint and other records received along with it are that the Complainant herein filed an application dated 23-11-2017 before the PIO requesting to furnish the information under Sec.6(1) of the RTI Act, 2005, on the following points mentioned in his application annexed. TSIC

The Public Information Officer has not furnished the information to the Complainant.

As the Complainant did not receive the required information from the PIO even after 30 days of filing his application, he preferred this Complaint before the Commission requesting to arrange to furnish the information sought by him u/s 18(1) of the RTI Act, 2005.

The Complaint was taken on file and notices were issued to both the parties for hearing on 27-8-2018.

On 27-8-2018 the case is called. The complainant and the Public Information Officer, Deputy Tahsildar, Gandipet Mandal are absent.

The case was adjourned.

On 31-5-2019 the case is called. The complainant is absent. The Public Information Officer, Naib Tahsildar, Gandipet Mandal is present.

The Public Information Officer submitted that available information was furnished to the complainant through letters dated 17.02.2018 and 18.05.2019 except for point no.4.

Heard the Public Information Officer and perused the records.

The Commission observed that the complainant, enclosing copies of proceedings/letters of MRO, Rajendranagar, RDO, Chevella and Collector, Ranga Reddy, filed 6(1) application dated 23.11.2017 seeking information on five points with regard to land in Sy.Nos.186, 187 and 200 in , Gandipeta Mandal and Sy.Nos.277 to 345 in Puppalaguda, Gandipet (earlier Rajendranagar) Mandal . The Public Information Officer through memo dated 14.02.2018 furnished available information to the complainant with regard to point nos.1 and 2 and for point nos.3 to 5 informed the complainant that he is unable to furnish the said information as the complainant has not mentioned the specific file numbers of their office. The Commission also noticed that the Public Information Officer through memo dated 18.05.2019 furnished available information for point nos. 3 and 5 to the complainant and for point no.4 informed that the same could not be furnished as the complainant did not mentioned the specific file number.

The submission of the Public Information Officer that the complainant has not mentioned the specific file number of their office is not acceptable. The Public Information Officer cannot expect an outsider to mention specific file numbers of his office and the Public Information Officer has to identify the file number by the subject matter.

The Commission directs the PIO to make a thorough search and furnish the information sought at point no.4 to the complainant within one week from the date of receipt of this order and submit compliance report to the Commission.

With the above direction, the complaint is closed.
