Terms & Conditions: 1.) The above mentioned positions are purely on contractual basis and co-terminus with the mentioned project or earlier based on the performance of the candidates. 2.) The candidates will have to compulroiily fill in the application form (provided in the Departmental Website). All the scanned certificates and mark sheets from matriculation onwards, date of birth certificate, NET/equivalent certificate, degree certificate and a recent photograph should be enclosed onto the scanned application form. Proof of experience and \ sent by email. The selected candidate will be required to produce all the original documents at the time of interview. 3.) No TA/DA and official accommodation will be provided for appearing in the interview. 4.) Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim for regular appointments/absorption under State Department. Non maintenance of the discipline and failure to perform the assigned duties will make the candidate liable for termination during the appointment period. They may leave the assignment, on their own volition, by giving one month notice. 5.) The Project Associate and Skilled workers will not be entitled for any regular leave, but are allowed to have CL and RH from time to time, not exceeding (8+2) : 10 days in a year. Firstly, the Department of Disaster Management & Rehabilitation, which comes under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, has already spent Rs. 4,28,03,200 to help the fight against COVID-19 and essential protective gears for medical personnel and frontline workers have also been bought by the department. Working under the direction of the Ministry, the Disaster Management & Rehabilitation Department has sanctioned Rs.1,48,70000/- to the Health Department for expenditures towards collection of Quarantine Samples, Screening, etc. Secondly, the Department has also sanctioned Rs.54,40000/- to help the work of checking, screening and tracing possible COVID-19 suspects crossing into the state through the airport or border checkgates. Thirdly, Rs.99,95,200/- has been used to purchase surgical gloves, fumigator, disinfectant and PPE Kits. District Disaster Management Authority in all Districts have been sanctioned financial aid amounting to Rs.1,24,98,000/- in total, in order to supplement quarantine facilities, strengthen Task Forces and help follow up contact tracing.

    CHAPTER 13 Community Information Centres Nandita Chaudhri and Shefali S Dash Senior Technical Directors, National Informatics Centre ABSTRACT The eight north-eastern (NE) states of India have traditionally been less de- veloped than the other states due to their geographic remoteness and diffi- cult hilly terrain. The Government of India, in 2002, set up 487 community information centres (CICs) at the block level in the eight NE states of Aru- nachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. They are equipped with computer communication equipment and are internet-enabled. The CICs, besides offering basic services like in- ternet browsing, e-mail and training in computer fundamentals, also provide citizen-centric or government-to-citizen (G2C) services. e-Suvidha is a single-window front end for such services and is offered by many CICs. It enables the citizen to apply for government certificates, li- censes, etc., at the CIC, monitor the progress of the application and collect the document from the CIC. Examples of documents covered are birth, death, marriage certificates, arms license, etc. ASHA, a joint effort by NIC and Assam Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium facilitates agri-business in the state of Assam through a web portal. A block community portal (BCP) or individual web site has been developed for each CIC. This provides an interactive plat- form for collaboration within and outside the community and information of local interest. Several proactive CIC operators are implementing some praiseworthy good practices at the CICs under different categories, such as electoral activity, e- governance services, examination results and other multifarious activities.
