This Direction is given by Peter Handcock, Chief Executive of Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service, on behalf of the Lord Chancellor after consulting the Lord Chief Justice in accordance with section 2(3) of the County Courts Act 1984. It has effect from when the Civil Courts (Amendment No. 2) Order 2011 and, where applicable, the Allocation and Transfer of Proceedings (Amendment No. 2) Order 2011 come into force in respect of each of above county courts, which is the date that each court ceases to be held. Chorley County Court- ceases to be held as of 12 September 2011 2. Preston County Court takes on all the localities within the former district of Chorley County Court. Evesham County Court- ceases to be held as of 10 October 2011 3. The district previously served by Evesham County Court is divided between Banbury County Court, Gloucester County Court and Worcester County Court as follows: Banbury County Court takes on the locality of Barton on the Heath within the former district of Evesham County Court. Gloucester County Court takes on the localities of Ganarew, Goodrich, Pencraig, Coughton, Hom Green, Howle Hill, Tudorville and Ross on Wye within the former district of Evesham County Court. Worcester County Court takes on the remainder of the localities previously comprising the district of Evesham County Court. Grantham County Court - ceases to be held as of 17 October 2011 4. Boston County Court takes on all the localities within the former district of Grantham County Court. Kidderminster County Court - ceases to be held as of 10 October 2011 5. The district previously served by Kidderminster County Court is divided between Telford County Court and Worcester County Court as follows: Telford County Court takes on the localities of Alveley, Billingsley, Broad Heath, Chelmarsh, Deuxhill, Frith Common, Glazeley, Hampton, Hanley William, Highley, Middleton Scriven, Neen Savage, Quatt, Romsley, Sidbury, Wolverley and Cookley, Cleobury Mortimer and Kinlet within the former district of Kidderminster County Court. Worcester County Court takes on the remainder of the localities previously comprising the district of Evesham County Court. Ludlow County Court - ceases to be held as of 3 October 2011 6. Burton upon Trent County Court takes on the remainder of the localities previously comprising the district of Tamworth County Court. Wellingborough County Court- ceases to be held as of 10 October 2011 18. The district previously served by Wellingborough County Court is divided between Bedford County Court and Kettering County Court as follows: Bedford County Court takes on the localities of Melchbourne, Podington, Wymington and Yelden within the former district of Wellingborough County Court. INTRODUCTION 1.1 Powys County Council have conducted a review of the community boundaries and community electoral arrangements under Sections 55(2) and 57 (4) of the Local Government Act 1972 as amended by the Local Government (Wales) Act 1994 (the Act). In accordance with Section 55(2) of the Act Powys County Council submitted a report to the Commission detailing their proposals for changes to a number of community boundaries in their area (Appendix A). 1.2 We have considered Powys County Council’s report in accordance with Section 55(3) of the Act and submit the following report on the Council’s recommendations. 2. POWYS COUNTY COUNCIL’S PROPOSALS 2.1 Powys County Council’s proposals were submitted to the Commission on 7 November 2006 (Appendix A). The Commission have not received any representations about the proposals.

OS sheets 239&240 A scenic route with plenty of interest, above the Tanat and Cynllaith valleys, through the Llangedwyn Estate and visiting the site of Owain Glyndwr’s hall. 1. Start at Llangedwyn Mill Craft Centre (NGR 185241) Car Park. Go back to the village centre, either by road or across the fields from the 18th century bridge over the Tanat. Llangedwyn is a Watkin Williams Wynn estate village and the Hall is now their residence in place of Wynnstay by Ruabon. The Hall has a complicated history with much rebuilding and demolitions. The grounds have terraced gardens and a strange loose box building in the paddocks. The Estate church is mid-19th century by Benjamin Ferrey. A splendid hill fort, Llwyn Bryn Dinas, Bronze Age and Iron Age, overlooks the valley one mile west of the village, but there are no paths to it. 2. Walk up the private drive to Llangedwyn Hall. Take the right fork at the stables and take the right of way behind the Hall to climb north east. Take the left fork through the woods to reach a green lane. There is no exit from the green lane to the road, so for the last part walk up the field keeping the fence on your right. Exit onto the Llansilin road. 3. Turn right on the road. Turn left at gate marked Ash Tree Cottage over cattlegrid. At top of hill (where track veers right/downhill) go straight ahead through gate and keep hedge line on left.

The project, commenced in 1884, for printing these pedigrees for the use of the Members of the Powys-land Club is now carried out. The high authority of Lewis Dwnn's Visitations, and the extreme rarity and costliness of the work in which they were first printed by the Welsh Manuscript Society in 1846, rendered it desirable that the Montgomeryshire portion of such Visitations should be placed in the hands of the Members. This has been done, with- out extra cost, as part of the publications of the Club. One hundred extra copies have been printed before the type was distributed, which are intended to be offered to Members of the Club in the first instance. Any not taken by them will be offered for sale to the public. INTRODUCTION. To aid the memory in cherishing and perpetuating the record of what is honourable and of good report in families, has been pro- nounced "the science of fools with long memories." If wisdom were always associated with a short or tarnished one, we might accept such a dictum; but, as this is not so, we may safely refer else- where for a more truthful definition of so well-abused and mis- represented a study as genealogy.
