In May 2011, a squad of two men’s arms and shoulders single scull crews and a mixed trunk and arms double scull crew toured Europe to compete at the International Adaptive Rowing regatta while being based out of the new ASC European Training Centre in Varese, Italy. The team came away from the regatta with two gold medals, one silver and one bronze. The squad then went on to race at the 1 in Munich, Germany, where Ben Houlison rowed strongly to win bronze in the arms and shoulders single scull, with closely behind in fourth. The mixed trunk and arms double scull crew of John Maclean and Kathryn Ross rowed together for the first time internationally since the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games, finishing in fourth place.

Website The APC’s website (www.paralympic. org.au) averaged 16,677 visits a month during the reporting period, and delivered a monthly average of 40,763 page views.
