A draft ‘Scheme of Establishment’, which sets out the broad principles for the development of the five new Glasgow CHSCPs, including details of the services they will manage and how these will be organised, has been submitted to the Scottish Executive for final approval. A local Development Group has also been formed to develop the new South East Glasgow Community Health and Social Care Partnership over the next year, working closely with local staff, community groups and others with an interest in the development of local health and social care services. How can I get involved in the development of local health and social care services? All CHPs are required to develop a Public Partnership Forum (PPF) by 1 April 2006. This will give service users, carers, local community groups and voluntary organisations an opportunity to get involved in the development of local services and provide feedback on a wide range of local issues. The PPF will build on existing local patient and public involvement arrangements to develop closer links with community groups and voluntary organisations across South East Glasgow.
