Check list of species distributed in Azerbaijan is presented basing on own materials and literature data. Materials were collected in the Greater Casucasus, the Kur River lowland, Lankaran and Middle Araz (Nakhchivan) natural regions and was recorded 1 species from Lycidae, 2 species from Lampyridae, 4 species from Cantharidae and 4 species from Oedemeridae families. From them Oedemera virescens (Linnaeus, 1767), Cantharis rufa Linnaeus, 1758, Cantharis melaspis Chevrolat, 1854, Cantharis melaspoides Wittmer, 1971 and Metacantharis clypeata Illiger, 1798 are new to Azerbaijan fauna. Specifically, this area is composed of various habitats, including forests, open soils, ruderal habitats and a sewage water body. Based on our findings, we suggest appropriate interventions or changes in management to support and enhance local biodiversity. Our results showed that species composition of plants and animals in the quarry premises is characterized mostly by common species (with only few plant taxa exception) without any specific habitat requirements. We found that the most botanically valuable habitats in Bobroviště are the forest fragment and the spring with its immediate vicinity. Since wetland habitats became valuable in the respect of climate changes in the last few years, we suggest creating new ponds and a littoral zone in the sewage water body to enhance biodiversity of this area and consequently increase water retention in the landscape. Introduction Mining areas are often perceived by the public as a scar on the landscape. -

Cantharidin toxicosis is well documented in humans and animals. Drought and modern harvesting techniques are thought to increase the likelihood of blister beetle contamination of forage and cantharidin intoxication in animals. Local presence, behavioral patterns, and cantharidin concentration were studied in Mylabris variabilis and Epicauta rufidorsum. In this study, E. rufidorsum was found to be the most likely source of forage contamination due to its local abundance, swarming activity, and tendency to reside in the green parts of plants after cutting. Cantharidin was detected in the bodies of both blister beetles species studied. It is likely that modern forage harvesting methods, which involve simultaneous processing of forage after cutting, increase the incidence of cantharidin toxicoses in animals. There are the results of processing the material of the 2019-2020 studies on Coleoptera from the Penza region, Russia. The surveys were carried out using fermental crown traps in various habitats on the territory of 18 districts of the region. In total, 18 traps were installed in 2019 and 96 traps – in 2020. During the research, 5,577 specimens were collected and recorded. Ninety-seven species from 19 families were found, of which 43 species are new to the Penza region. The most diverse families are Cerambycidae (24 species) and Elateridae (11 species). Species from the families Nitidulidae (3281 specimens), Scarabaeidae (1497 specimens), and Cerambycidae (453 specimens) predominated in the traps. A list of species is given, indicating references and information on biology. New data is given for 4 species included in the Red Data Book of the region (Protaetia fieberi, Protaetia speciosissima, Gnorimus variabilis, Purpuricenus globulicollis). -

There is no published source devoted to this family in Lithuania. The brief faunistic review of Lithuanian Oedemeridae was presented in two monographs on Lithuanian beetles (Pileckis, 1976; Pileckis & Monsevičius, 1997). Among 14 species listed in those monographs, 10 species are categorized as rare or very rare in Lithuania. The faunistic data of single records of some Odemeridae species is scattered in various other publications (Mazurowa & Mazur, 1939; Pileckis & Monsevičius, 1982; Šablevičius, 2000, 2004; Gliaudys, 2001; Inokaitis, 2004; Žiogas & Zolubas, 2005; Ferenca, 2006; Ivinskis et al., 2009; Ostrauskas & Ferenca, 2010;). The new species, Oedemera subrobusta (Nakane, 1954) has been recently disclosed for Lithuania (Barševskis, 2008). All together 15 species of false blister beetles are listed in the Catalogue of Lithuanian beetles (Insecta, Coleoptera). Furthermore, 6 species are listed as expected (Tamutis et al., 2011). The aim of this paper is to present new faunistic data on nine insufficiently known in Lithuania false blister beetle species and a first record of Oedemera croceicollis (Gyllenhal, 1827), marked with an asterisk (*). Material and methods The majority of the present data is based on the material collected by authors of this report: Romas Ferenca (R.F.), Vytautas Tamutis (V.T.) and Rimvydas Kinduris (R.K.). -

Ion Ionescu de la Brad no. 8, CP 013813, Bucharest, Romania E-mail: [email protected] Abstract: A study was performed in 2018, to evaluate the Entomofauna in a sunflower crop in system with black locust windbreaks in the field of SC SPORT AGRA SRL Amzacea, Constanța County, the eastern part of Romania. Insects were collected on yellow sticky traps inside the windbreaks and in two parallel planes in the sunflower crop of 100 ha at two distances from the windbreaks (50 and 300 m). Five traps per site were used changed every two weeks from mid-June to early August. The results showed that the number of species inside the black locust windbreaks was 22 with a total of 3595 specimens, in the sunflower plane near the windbreaks were 19 species with a total of 3817 specimens and in the distant sunflower plane were 17 species which totalled 3570 specimens. The composition of the beneficial fauna was represented by 12 species in the windbreaks, 8 in sunflower plane 1 and 6 in sunflower plane 2. Percentage ratio of beneficial and harmful species from the two sunflower planes and from the black locust windbreaks was calculated as well as the ecological parameters (abundance, dominance, constancy and ecological significance).
