Darshan Desai, Ph.D. Chair, Business Data Science, Larry L. Luing School of Business®

Dr. Desai is a subject matter expert on data science, business analytics and information management with extensive knowledge on Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, and predictive modeling. She has more than 16 years of experience with a range of technologies to implement data- focused projects. Her career has spanned the private sector, nonprofits, and academia.

At Berkeley College, Dr. Desai directs the Business Data Science degree program. With broad experience with industries and her large network, she has created many analytics consulting and research opportunities for her students.

Dr. Desai has published in academic journals, international conference proceedings, books, and technical reports. She has chaired, organized and presented in multiple conference sessions, panels, and collaborative events, worldwide, on topics including analytics, customer engagement, data mining, and artificial intelligence, and has spoken to the media on big data, predictive modeling, business intelligence, the industrial internet-of-things, and innovation.

Professor Gary Krulish has been involved in law enforcement and criminal justice for more than 15 years, either in the field or within the classroom as a scholarly practitioner. He served as a Special Agent with the U.S. Secret Service and as a federal criminal investigator, focusing on all facets of financial crime investigations, as well as protection-related assignments.

Post-9/11, Prof. Krulish spent time on a number of task forces such as: the Federal Bureau of Investigation Joint Terrorism Task Force, 2002 Winter Olympics Games in Salt Lake City, the Department of the Treasury – Inter-Agency Organized Crime Task Force, and the West African Task Force. He has collaborated with law enforcement agencies at every level of government while working cases involving access device fraud, bank fraud, counterfeit currency, and identify theft, along with many other types of electronic crimes. Dr. Suzanne Mullings joined the Berkeley College School of Health Studies in 2019 as a faculty member, and was promoted to Associate Chair, Nursing/LPN to B.S.N. Coordinator. She brings more than 10 years of clinical and teaching experience in nursing, with a concentration in Adult Health Nursing. She is dedicated to the development of students who are transitioning into professional practice.

Dr. Mullings is involved in mentoring initiatives for nursing students. She is also a Board Trustee for the Board of Education in Englewood, NJ.

Byron Hargrove, Ph.D. Director of the Honors Program and Faculty, Division of General Education

As an award-winning educator and counseling psychologist with over 25 years of higher education experience, Dr. Hargrove has passionately taught and mentored students from the first-year experience to the doctoral hooding.

Since joining Berkeley College in New Jersey (2003), Dr. Hargrove has worked as an adjunct Instructor (Woodland Park, 2003-2005), Dean of Student Development & Campus Life (White Plains, 2005-2008), and full-time Psychology Professor in the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences (2008-present). Dr. Hargrove currently teaches the first-year experience, human relations, applied psychology, abnormal psychology and marriage and family courses at the New Jersey and Online campus locations.

In addition to teaching, Dr. Hargrove has served as the Director of the Honors Program since 2012. Be a part of it all

Division of General Education The Division of General Education offers courses in the humanities, social sciences, English, mathematics, and science. Honors Program The Berkeley College Honors Program is a selective interdisciplinary program that gives students the opportunity to study program- related topics in greater depth than is possible in the regular degree programs.
