Doctor Who “Smith and Jones” STOKER: I Weep for Future Generations
Doctor Who “Smith and Jones” STOKER: I weep for future generations. Are you having trouble locating the heart, Miss Jones? MARTHA: Er, I don't know. Stomach cramps? STOKER: That is a symptom, not a diagnosis. And you rather failed basic techniques by not consulting first with the patient's chart. (Stoker gets an electric shock from the metal clip.) MARTHA: That happened to me this morning. MORGENSTERN: I had the same thing on the door handle. SWALES: And me, on the lift. STOKER: That's only to be expected. There's a thunderstorm moving in and lightning is a form of static electricity, as was first proven by. Anyone? DOCTOR: Benjamin Franklin. STOKER: Correct. DOCTOR: My mate, Ben. That was a day and a half. I got rope burns off that kite, and then I got soaked.. STOKER: Quite. DOCTOR: And then I got electrocuted. STOKER: Moving on. I think perhaps a visit from psychiatric. ======================================== MARTHA: I promise you, Mister Smith, we will find a way out. If we can travel to the moon, then we can travel back. There's got to be a way. DOCTOR: It's not Smith. That's not my real name. MARTHA: Who are you, then? DOCTOR: I'm the Doctor. MARTHA: Me too, if I can pass my exams. What is it then, Doctor Smith? DOCTOR: Just the Doctor. MARTHA: How do you mean, just the Doctor? DOCTOR: Just the Doctor. MARTHA: What, people call you the Doctor? DOCTOR: Yeah. MARTHA: Well, I'm not. As far as I'm concerned, you've got to earn that title. -

THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT: ABORTION AND COMPELLED PHYSICIAN SPEECH Abstract: Across the country, courts have confronted the question of whether laws requiring physicians to display ultrasound images of fetuses and describe the human features violate the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. On April 5, 2019, in EMW Women’s Surgical Center, P.S.C. v. Beshear, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit joined the Fifth Circuit and upheld Ken- tucky’s law, thus rejecting a physician’s free speech challenge. The Supreme Court declined to review this decision without providing an explanation. The Sixth Circuit became the third federal appellate court to rule on such regulations, often referred to as “ultrasound narration laws” or “display and describe laws,” and joined the Fifth Circuit in upholding such a law against a First Amendment challenge. -

2019 Gally Academic Track Friday, February 15, 2019 3:00-3:15 KEYNOTE “The Fandom Hierarchy: Women of Color’s Fight For Visibility In Fandom Spaces” Tai Gooden Women of Color (WoC) have been fervent Doctor Who fans for several decades. However, the fandom often reflects societal hierarchies upheld by White privilege that result in ignoring and diminishing WoC’s opinions, contributions, and legitimate concerns about issues in terms of representation. Additionally, WoC and non-binary (NB) people of color’s voices are not centered as often in journalism, podcasting, and media formats nor convention panels as much as their White counterparts. This noticeable disparity has led to many WoC, even those who are deemed “important” in fandom spaces, to encounter racism, sexism, and, depending on the individual, homophobia and transphobia in a place that is supposed to have open availability to everyone. I can attest to this experience as someone who has a somewhat heightened level of visibility in fandom as a pop culture/entertainment writer who extensively covers Doctor Who. This presentation will examine women of color in the Doctor Who fandom in terms of their interactions with non-POC fans and difficulties obtaining opportunities in media, online, and at conventions. The show’s representation of fandom and the necessity for equity versus equality will also be discussed to craft a better understanding of how to tackle this pervasive issue. Other actionable solutions to encourage intersectionality in the fandom will be discussed including privileged people listening to WoC and non- binary people’s concerns/suggestions, respectfully interacting with them online and in person, recognizing and utilizing their privilege to encourage more inclusivity, standing in solidarity with them on critical issues, and lending their support to WoC creatives. -

Archons (Commanders) [NOTICE: They Are NOT Anlien Parasites], and Then, in a Mirror Image of the Great Emanations of the Pleroma, Hundreds of Lesser Angels
A R C H O N S HIDDEN RULERS THROUGH THE AGES A R C H O N S HIDDEN RULERS THROUGH THE AGES WATCH THIS IMPORTANT VIDEO UFOs, Aliens, and the Question of Contact MUST-SEE THE OCCULT REASON FOR PSYCHOPATHY Organic Portals: Aliens and Psychopaths KNOWLEDGE THROUGH GNOSIS Boris Mouravieff - GNOSIS IN THE BEGINNING ...1 The Gnostic core belief was a strong dualism: that the world of matter was deadening and inferior to a remote nonphysical home, to which an interior divine spark in most humans aspired to return after death. This led them to an absorption with the Jewish creation myths in Genesis, which they obsessively reinterpreted to formulate allegorical explanations of how humans ended up trapped in the world of matter. The basic Gnostic story, which varied in details from teacher to teacher, was this: In the beginning there was an unknowable, immaterial, and invisible God, sometimes called the Father of All and sometimes by other names. “He” was neither male nor female, and was composed of an implicitly finite amount of a living nonphysical substance. Surrounding this God was a great empty region called the Pleroma (the fullness). Beyond the Pleroma lay empty space. The God acted to fill the Pleroma through a series of emanations, a squeezing off of small portions of his/its nonphysical energetic divine material. In most accounts there are thirty emanations in fifteen complementary pairs, each getting slightly less of the divine material and therefore being slightly weaker. The emanations are called Aeons (eternities) and are mostly named personifications in Greek of abstract ideas.
