Friday 7:00 a.m. Saturday 8:00 a.m. A Word From Fr. Eckert Dear Friends, There’s a billboard between Salisbury and Charlotte on I-85 that has been up for quite a while. Fr. Rossi and I used to occasionally make light of it, because, to be frank, it’s kind of corny. The billboard says “Hey, I still love you. I do! - Jesus.” While I’m not a big fan of the billboard itself for various reasons, I have to admit that there have been Weekly Calendar certain extraordinary messages from our Lord Sunday, April 28 – Divine Mercy over the centuries to remind us of essentially ~ 8:00 am Mass what this billboard is trying to say, namely, ~ 10:30 am Mass ~ 12:30 pm Mass (en español) Jesus has unfathomable love for us. The very ~ 3:00 pm Sung Divine Mercy Chaplet name of our parish comes from private revelations by our Lord to St. Margaret Mary Monday, April 29 Alacoque in the 17th century asking that ~ 7:00 am Mass followed by confession devotion be spread to His Sacred Heart, Tuesday, April 30 which is on fire with love for us. This ~ 7:00 am Mass followed by confession Sunday, we celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday, Wednesday, May 1 which is another devotion that traces its ~ 3:15 pm Children’s Choir practice origins to private revelations by Jesus to a ~ 5:15 pm Daily Mass followed by religious Sister. This time our Lord spoke Nocturnal Adoration and confession ~ 6:00 pm Faith Formation classes with St. Faustina Kowalska just under 100 years ago asking her to remind people about Thursday, May 2 ~ 8:30 am Mass followed by confession the incredible mercy He has for all of us if ~ 6:00 pm Choir practices only we ask for it. As we continue on in this glorious Season of Easter, it’s worth asking Friday, May 3 – First Friday Adoration ~ 7:00 am Mass followed by confession yourself, have I gotten the message? Pope Francis once commented that Jesus never Saturday, May 4 – First Saturday tires of showing us mercy, it’s rather us who ~ 7:00 am Confession ~ 7:30 am Recitation of the Holy Rosary tire in asking for it. On this Divine Mercy ~ 8:00 am Daily Mass followed Sunday, may we all be convinced once again by a 15-minute meditation that Jesus Christ really and truly does love us.
