Rear Commodore’s Report About this time of year I really Sunshine want to get out on the water. Val and I are not really winter type people. We have never been in to Ray Ozanich ( Patty ), daughter anything that has anything to do passed away on February 16,2010. Our thoughts and with the word snow. Walking preyers are with Ray and Patty. I have received no other reports. You can contact me by phone 1-253-845-4326 through the boat show we always or by email at [email protected]. see things that would be nice to have on the boat. This makes the project list grow the longer we stay Louise at the show. Most years it's the basic stuff that get's done first. Once that's done it's time to start using Committee Assignment Updates the boat. Some projects seem to never get done - The following is an updated list of committee which can be a good thing for me. We are on boat assignments with correct titles and assignees: number five. On most of the boats we had before once I got them to where we were finished with the Archivist Dave Longordo list of projects we moved to a bigger boat. We've Bar Stewards Virginia Allard, Tammera Kask pretty much decided that this will be our last boat. Boating Education Program Roger Gallington Chapalin Will Witte Starting in March we have our first cruise of the Charity Director Gail Burg year. I hope that everyone who wants to go to Clothing Val Watson Longbranch will be able to make it. In looking at Fleet Captain Tim Reding the 2010 cruise schedule there are about 14 events Fleet Captain Assistents J R Reding, Kevin Rhone and that's not counting Daffodil. Look forward to seeing everyone there. Librarian (Open) Membership Chair Val Sheehy Be sure to read what Val has written about Name Tags and clothing Ray Sharpe membership in this newsletter. She has lots of good NBC Representative Leanne Redding ideas that we are going to try for increasing RBAW Representive Jerry Rudd membership. If you know anyone that is thinking Reciprocal Manager Bob Watson about joining a yacht club now is a good time to Sergent At arms Rocci Blair join Totem. All clubs right now are having Spring Social (Open) problems with membership but I think we have a lot Sushine Louise Burns of things to offer everyone, including our present Telephone Committee Chair Charlene Sharpe members. As I see it, membership is the most critical area faced by the club this year. Everything we hope to accomplish in and for the club is directly or indirectly impacted by our membership. Items such as longevity of the club, budget, building Boating Family: Member: Tim Reding improvements, and increased social activities to Bob and Val Watson name a few. My goal for the year is to get Totem's name, schedule of activities, and membership information out in the community. Secondly, I will look for ways to add value and benefit to current and prospective members. You may now be asking yourself how this will be accomplished and what it's going to cost – so here is the basic plan.

1. The board has approved a "limited time only" waiver of the initiation fee when joining the club.
