Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew Revisited VH1 and Dr. Drew Return for Patient Checkups on "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew Revisited" One-Hour Specials Revisit Patients from the First Four Seasons of "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew Revisited" Premieres Wednesday, November 30th at 10pm* LOS ANGELES, Nov. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- For almost five years, the genre-defining reality series "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" has enlightened viewers about the painful and trying path to recovery for people with alcohol and drug addictions. Anyone familiar with the treatment process for addiction knows that recovery is a lifelong process and some succeed where others fail. Life outside the protective environment of rehab is rough as patients can fall into old routines and potential relapse. "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew Revisited" is a series of four, "where are they now" specials with Dr. Drew and his head councilor Bob Forrest visiting patients from the first four seasons of "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew." Featuring new interviews and home visits with Andy Dick, Rodney King, Seth Binzer, Tom Sizemore, Rachel Uchitel, Leif Garrett, Janice Dickinson and many more of the most infamous 'celebrity rehabbers' to date, these specials will offer a frank look at life months and, in some cases years, after rehab. While many participants on the series have been successful with recovery, viewers will see that in some instances, not even Dr. Drew's patients are immune to the perils of relapse. "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew Revisited" premieres Wednesday, November 30th at 10pm*. Specials are each week at 10pm* with airdates and featured patients as follows: ● "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew Season 1 Revisited" - November 30 (Features Seth Binzer, Marey Carey, Jessica Sierra and Jaimee Foxworth) ● "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew Season 2 Revisited" - December 7 (Features Rodney King, Amber Smith, Andy Dick and Nikki Mckibbin) ● "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew Season 3 Revisited" - December 14 (Features Heidi Fleiss, Joey Kovar, Kari Ann Peniche and Tom Sizemore) ● "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew Season 4 Revisited" - December 21 (Features Rachel Uchitel, Leif Garrett, Frankie Lons and Janice Dickinson) Dr. Drew is the host of the nationally syndicated late night radio show Loveline as well as a respected practicing MD, board certified in internal and addiction medicine, who is staff at Huntington Hospital and assistant clinical professor of KECK USC School of Medicine. • Rca Records to Release American Idol: Greatest Moments on October 1
THE RCA RECORDS LABEL ___________________________________________ RCA RECORDS TO RELEASE AMERICAN IDOL: GREATEST MOMENTS ON OCTOBER 1 On the heels of crowning Kelly Clarkson as America's newest pop superstar, RCA Records is proud to announce the release of American Idol: Greatest Moments on Oct. 1. The first full-length album of material from Fox's smash summer television hit, "American Idol," will include four songs by Clarkson, two by runner-up Justin Guarini, a song each by the remaining eight finalists, and “California Dreamin’” performed by all ten. All 14 tracks on American Idol: Greatest Moments, produced by Steve Lipson (Backstreet Boys, Annie Lennox), were performed on "American Idol" during the final weeks of the reality-based television barnburner. In addition to Kelly and Justin, the show's remaining eight finalists featured on the album include Nikki McKibbon, Tamyra Gray, EJay Day, RJ Helton, AJ Gil, Ryan Starr, Christina Christian, and Jim Verraros. Producer Steve Lipson, who put the compilation together in an unprecedented two-weeks time, finds a range of pop gems on the album. "I think Kelly's version of ‘Natural Woman' is really strong. Her vocals are brilliant. She sold me on the song completely. I like Christina's 'Ain't No Sunshine.' I think she got the emotion of it across well. Nikki is very good as well -- very underestimated. And Tamyra is brilliant too so there's not much more to say about her." RCA Records will follow American Idol: Greatest Moments with the debut album from “American Idol” champion Kelly Clarkson in the first quarter of 2003.

Cullen2, Justin T. Pickett3 , Cheryl Lero Jonson4, Murat Haner5, and Melissa M. Sloan5 Abstract Purpose: Over the past several months, the coronavirus has infected more than six million Americans and killed nearly 200,000. Governors have issued stay-at-home orders, and prosecutors have filed criminal charges against individuals for defying those orders. And yet many Americans have still refused to keep their distance from their fellow citizens, even if they had symptoms of infection. The authors explore the underlying causes for those who intend to defy these norms. Methods: Using national-level data from a March 2020 survey of 989 Americans, the authors explore intentions to defy social distancing norms by testing an interactionist theory of foundation-based moral behavior in combination with faith in President Trump during the coronavirus pandemic. The analysis controls for a range of variables, including measures of low self-control and deterrence. Results: Low self-control is the strongest predictor of defiance intentions. Consistent with interactionist theory, defiance intentions are significantly higher for those holding specific faith in Trump and those endorsing binding foundations. Furthermore, the interaction of these two variables is significant and in the predicted direction. The results hold for two different measures of faith in Trump.

SIGHTS OF RACIAL VIOLENCE: New Media Technologies and Acts of Watching, Memory, and Legitimation by Wendy Sung A dissertation submitted in partial fulfillment of requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (American Culture) in the University of Michigan 2016 Doctoral Committee: Professor Lisa A. Nakamura, Chair Associate Professor Colin Gunckel Professor Yeidy M. Rivero Associate Professor Sarita E. See, University of California, Riverside DEDICATION For my mother and my grandmother— for us. ii ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS Temporality has been crucial for this project in many ways: the interplay of memory and image, the tenuous writing of history and its inevitable rewriting, but also in the difficulties of thinking deeply about a subject that inspires rage, fatigue, and hopelessness. These feelings delayed the completion of the project in unforeseen ways. If the project had been completed in the ideal time allotted by initial funding possibilities, it would look very different and would be far less rich. Thus, I want to acknowledge the many non-starts, refusals, and reluctancies that inevitably were overcome by the immediacy of the project and many Internet-deprived hours of coffee shop work. This was made possible by the generous support of the American Culture department, without which I might never have been able to see the Black Lives Matter movement make a constitutive mark on this dissertation. It goes without saying but still must be said that I am eternally indebted to my committee. Colin, thank you for being a crucial part of bringing Ann Arbor to our favorite city and for offering many invaluable insights that have made this dissertation better.

House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform No Safe Spaces Congressional Testimony Regarding Free Speech on College Campuses July 27, 2017 Chairman Jordan and members of the subcommittee; The stars of our film, comedian Adam Carolla and nationally syndicated talk-show host Dennis Prager, both make their living by sharing ideas. Our filmmaking team is comprised of Hollywood veterans that would not have a career telling stories and making movies if it weren’t for the rights granted to us by the 1st Amendment. The issue of free speech is dear to all of us, which is why Adam Carolla is representing our film in Congress to testify on this issue. We thank you for the opportunity, and acknowledge your intrepidness for inviting a well-known comedian to speak his mind. Paraphrasing our 40th President, Ronald Reagan, the eight most terrifying words in the English language are, “I’m from Hollywood and I’m here to help.” Adam Carolla and Dennis Prager share no similarities as it pertains to their academic careers. Carolla had an undistinguished and short lived effort (if you can call it that) at a community college, while Prager is Ivy League educated. But despite academic pedigree, the chilling of free speech concerns all of us, especially when it’s at the epicenter of what should be the place where ideas are shared and challenged the most— college. This concern over free speech on college campuses operates on several levels. First, Carolla and Prager are two men that make their living by challenging ideas through humor, debate, social commentary, and if warranted, ridicule.
