TRANSCRIPTION/TRANSCRIPTION NEWS CONFERENCE/CONFÉRENCE DE PRESSE Transcription prepared by Media Q Inc. exclusively for the Canadian Football League Transcription préparée par Media Q Inc. exclusivement pour Ligue canadienne de football DATE/DATE: November 20, 2019, 08:30 MT LOCATION/ENDROIT: Boyce Theatre, Stampede Park, 1910 Olympic Way SE, Calgary, AB PRINCIPAL(S)/PRINCIPAUX: Olivier Poulin, Master of Ceremonies Orlondo Steinauer, Head Coach, Hamilton Tiger-Cats Mike O'Shea, Head Coach, Winnipeg Blue Bombers SUBJECT/SUJET: The 2019 Grey Cup Head Coaches' news conference with Hamilton Tiger-Cats Head Coach Orlondo Steinauer and Winnipeg Blue Bombers Head Coach Michael O'Shea. Olivier Poulin There won't be any opening remarks. We're going to go straight to question. First question will be from Terry Jones, right up front. Question I don't know if, in the history of championship sports, there have ever been two coaches that ever once got traded for each other, so let's start there. Who won the trade? Orlondo Steinauer I don't think I was here when the trade happened. I think I was in Miami. Mike O'Shea You were in Miami. Orlondo Steinauer Yeah. It all worked out because I think when you got back we ended up on the same team anyway. Mike O'Shea We did. Orlondo Steinauer Hamilton won that trade. It's so long ago. Mike O'Shea No. No thoughts. Question After the win in Saskatchewan, you and Zack Collaros looked to be the two calmest people at the stadium. What keeps you calm at times of intense emotion after winning a west final, as an example? What is it in you that keeps you that calm? Mike O'Shea Well, I think trusting the players. -

Although the on-field success fell well short of our goals, we believe that we are taking steps in the right direction to quickly address this and we are therefore eager to move ahead with the 2016 season. General Manager Kyle Walters and his team worked hard to significantly boost the on-field talent on February 9th in Free Agency, adding key players such as running back Andrew Harris, kicker Justin Medlock, defensive tackle Keith Shologan, and receivers Ryan Smith and Weston Dressler. We are confident that all of these CFL stars will become fan favourites as Winnipeg Blue Bombers. With a very successful FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015 held at our great stadium this past June, we showed our country as well as the entire international soccer community that we have what it takes to put on a fantastic soccer tournament. In 2015, the Winnipeg Football Club also hosted one of the most positively reviewed Grey Cup events to date. The 103rd Grey Cup was more than just a sell- out; it set the bar for all Grey Cups to come. -
Issue 14 – March 2018 Florida's IMG Academy
Issue 14 – March 2018 Florida’s IMG Academy The Gryphons travelled down to the Sunshine State in February. The team went down south to Florida’s state-of-the-art IMG Academy to endure an intense, five-day training camp. The weather and IMG facilities were absolutely beautiful and the week served as an excellent bonding time for the team in addition to a great training period for the upcoming season. Our co-op student, Taylor Floris, provides greater insight on what the week entailed in her piece titled Gryphons in Florida: Through My Eyes. Click here to read. D to San Francisco Last month, we sent our talented Videographer, Dhanung Bulsara (also known as “D”), to the Social Media Strategies Summit in San Francisco. This conference had a variety of guest speakers, case studies, workshops and round-table discussions with other participants in order to strengthen one another’s social media skills. The Social Media Strategies Summit is “the longest running, most comprehensive social media conference in the US”. Here’s what D had to say when asked about the conference: "the social media strategies summit was a unique and insightful experience. It was great to be surrounded by like-minded individuals who were eager to master social media and get ahead of the competition. Social media is constantly evolving, so it was interesting to see how major brands were tackling the constant changes in this new age of marketing. It also served as a rewarding experience as I had the unique ability to expose our incredible program and shine some light on what we are trying to achieve with our own social media.” During his visit, D had the opportunity to meet with Dominic Simons, who is the Assistant Director of Digital Strategy and Operations at Stanford University. -
