As mentioned in ancient literature, the Chinese have been using aromatic plants in their daily lives since the Yellow Emperor. According to the text Xiang Cheng1 《香 乘》, incense was used by Huangdi 黃帝 to classify the ministers who were working for him. The different uses of aromatics: Insect prevention: According to experimentation conducted in the Zhou Dynasty, aromatics can be used to ward off mosquitos and pests; they also help to improve the air quality and to purify the air indoors. Seasoning and ingredients for making alcoholic drinks: aromatics such as curcuma were usually involved in the process of making alcohol. These alcoholic drinks were served in rituals, banquets and other important events. The aromatics were also used as condiments, to season food, to improve taste and provide flavoring. Mortuary objects: Aromatics were usually found near the tombs of the rich, the nobility (e.g. the emperor), and warriors. For example, 2Chinese prickly ashes 花椒 were found in abundance in the tomb of Lady Meng Ji 黄君夫人孟姬; Chinese prickly ashes were also found in ten beautiful bronze boxes in the tomb of Lady Ju Yu 句敔夫人; prickly ashes were also placed inside a medical bag in the tomb of Changsha Ma Wang 長沙馬 王.

Peppermint Rosemary is a great option for when you want to be left alone while enjoying a campfire. You can add dried rosemary directly into the fire, its incense deters mosquitoes. Rosemary is also great when planted to repel ticks and fleas. For added protection, rub the plant on pets and on your skin, the oils from rosemary will keep those nasty pests away. Roesmary Essential oils within the lavender plant are great for deterring mosquitoes, moths, fleas, ants and flies. To protect yourself from these insects, rub the plant on your skin to release the oils or mix essential oil with water to make a bug spray. Growing lavender in your garden or in a pot on your patio can also help with keeping bugs away.

It’s well known as the king of spices, and literature which is very rich showing that it was well cultivated tens of centuries ago before the birth of Christ. It was known first in India but its economic importance as well as medical uses extended to several countries. The ancient books illustrated the displacements of caravans of merchants known as route of Silks and Spices. Actually, the countries of India, Brazil, and Indonesia are the greatest commercial exporters. The major compound of black pepper is piperine that imparts pungency and biting taste to it.

Synthetic cannabis, unlike pot, however, can cause a huge variety of symptoms, which can be severe: Agitation, vomiting, hallucination, paranoia, tremor, seizure, tachycardia, hypokalemia, chest pain, cardiac problems, stroke, kidney damage, acute psychosis, brain damage, and death. Why are the effects of synthetic cannabis so varied and so toxic? Researchers are starting to understand more about the drugs, and finding that synthetic cannabis is not even close to being the same drug as pot.
