Raiders 28, Falcons 35  The Raiders dropped their home opener by a score of 28-35, tying the all-time series between the two teams at 7-7.  The win over the Raiders gives Atlanta its fourth straight victory against the Silver and Black, with the last Raiders victory occurring on November 26, 2000.  With the Falcons victory, the club now falls to 1-1 against NFC South opponents on the season, with the remaining two games coming against the Buccaneers and Panthers.

RB Latavius Murray  After trailing by three in the second quarter, RB Latavius Murray put the Raiders on the board with 7:51 left in the first half by finishing a seven-play, 91-yard drive with a 1-yard rush.  Murray, who scored the Raiders first touchdown of the 2016 season against the Saints, has now recorded a rushing touchdown in back-to-back games for the first time in his career.  Murray finished the day with 57 yards on the ground and a touchdown, while adding 44 yards through the air, eclipsing 2,000 career yards from scrimmage on a 15-yard run late in the third quarter.

QB Derek Carr  After recording just four 90-plus yard scoring drives in 2015, QB Derek Carr orchestrated a seven-play, 91-yard scoring drive in the second quarter, the Raiders’ second 90-plus yard scoring drive of the 2016 season.  Carr’s first touchdown of the game came in the third quarter when he ended an eight-play, 81- yard drive by connecting with TE for a 31-yard reception.  Early in the fourth quarter, Carr converted the Raiders’ first fourth-down play on a 2-yard pass to WR to even the score at 21-21.  Carr’s final touchdown of the day came on eight-play, 75-yard drive that culminated in a 6-yard pass to WR Andre Holmes.  Carr threw for 299 yards on 34-of-45 passing (75.6 percent) with three for a of 115.0, his eighth career game with a 100-plus passer rating.

WR  After totaling 137 receiving yards in Week 1, WR Amari Cooper posted 71 yards against the Falcons.  Cooper finished as the Raiders’ leading receiver with 71 yards on five receptions (14.2 avg.) on the day.

WR Michael Crabtree  Trailing 14-21 early in the fourth quarter, WR Michael Crabtree helped the Raiders convert their first fourth-down play of the season on a 2-yard touchdown reception from QB Derek Carr.  Crabtree extended his current streak of games with at least three receptions to 19.  Crabtree finished the day with four receptions for 31 yards receiving and one touchdown.

WR Andre Holmes  With 2:20 left in the game, WR Andre Holmes hauled in a 6-yard catch from QB Derek Carr. The touchdown reception was the 10th of his career, making him the third undrafted Raider to catch 10 career touchdown passes, joining James Jett (30) and (12).

TE Clive Walford  On the Raiders’ opening drive of the second half, TE Clive Walford capped an eight-play, 81-yard drive with a 31-yard touchdown reception to give the Raiders a 14-13 lead.  The 31-yard touchdown reception is the longest touchdown reception of his career.  Walford finished with six receptions and 50 yards (8.3 avg.) and one touchdown.

CB  CB David Amerson recorded the Raiders’ first of the 2016 season when he picked off QB Matt Ryan, maintaining Oakland’s 14-13 lead and keeping Atlanta off the board early in the third quarter.  Amerson finished the day with eight tackles (seven solo), one interception and three passes defensed.

S Reggie Nelson  S Reggie Nelson’s 12 tackles (10 solo) led all tacklers for the Raiders’ defense for the second consecutive week.

DT Stacy McGee  On the opening drive of the game, DT Stacy McGee recorded the first full sack of his career, taking down QB Matt Ryan for a loss of seven yards.

P Marquette King  With 7:16 left in the first quarter, P Marquette King recorded the 281st punt of his career with a 64-yard kick, passing Leo Araguz for fifth all-time in franchise history.  King finished the day with four punts for 211 yards (52.8 yard avg.) and placed three punts inside the opponents’ 20-yard line.
