underscored the foundational character of Catholic education: “Education is integral to the mission of the Church to proclaim the Good News.” As indicated in our Holy Father’s encyclical, Spe Salvi (no. 4), the principal focus of every Catholic educational institution is to promote the encounter with the living God, thereby enabling the transformation of one’s mind and heart to the truth of Jesus Christ. Sacred Heart Major Seminary embraces this mandate as the seminary endeavors to promote the New Evangelization to a world desirous of the Good News of Jesus Christ. Through its mission, Sacred Heart proudly collaborates with the Holy Church through its twelve degree and certification programs, not to mention the countless conferences and workshops that transpire at Sacred Heart each year. Through the intercession of Mary, the Mother of the Church, Sacred Heart will continue to train its focus, ever stoking the flame of faith that emboldens both mind and heart to share the Gospel message of Christ.
