Er produziert für das Label Euphonic aus Löbau. Er ist nicht nur Produzent für sein Projekt "SUN DECADE", sondern hat auch seine Handschrift bei weiteren Euphonic Projekten wie "SONOROUS" hinterlassen. Als Remixer ist er auch sehr gefragt. Er hat gerade eine MIX CD herrausgebracht. Nun sitzen wir hier bei der "Euphonic Nacht" in Berlin, ein idealer Zeitpunkt um Ihn ein paar Fragen zu stellen ... impaki: Hallo Ron ! Ronski: Hi, impaki: Was bedeutet Ronski Speed ? Wie bist Du auf den Namen gekommen ? Ronski: Das ist eine Mischung aus meinem bürgerlichen Namen Ronny und einer 80er Jahre Band. Ich habe früher immer meine E-Mail so unterzeichnet, dann gings um einen Gema Namen und da haben wir gleich diesen genommen. 8) impaki: Du interessierst Dich für die elektronische Musik, was war zu erst, auflegen oder produzieren ? Wie bist Du zu dieser Musikrichtung gekommen ? Ronski: Ich habe schon ein paar Jahre aufgelegt, bevor ich angefangen habe selber zu produzieren. Das fing in den 80ern an mit Depeche Mode, New Order usw. setzte sich dann in den 90'ern fort mit seiner rapiden Entwicklung im Techno Bereich. 1997 lernte ich dann Ralph Kyau und Steven Moebius Albert kennen. Diese suchten Acts für ihr neues Label Euphonic. So begannen die ersten eigenen Produktionen. Inspiriert von Chicane, Paul Van Dyk usw. ging diese Musik immer mehr in Richtung Trance. impaki: Du bist ja eher für Deine Produktionen bekannt bzw. als Remixer, heut bist Du aber als DJ tätig. Wirst Du in der Zukunft mehr auflegen ? Ronski: Ich habe durch das Produzieren etwas das Auflegen vernachlässigt. Meine Mix-Compilation "Positive Ways 3" ist sozusagen ein neuer Schritt Ronski Speed mehr als DJ zu etablieren. Die Leute sollen einen guten Abend mit guter Musik verbringen. impaki: Wie würdest Du Deinen Producingsound nennen? Ronski: Uplifting, Progressive Trance. impaki: Was sind noch für Projekte geplant für 2004 in Sachen Produktionen? Und in Sachen DJ`ing ? Ronski: Zunächst wirds im Sommer etwas ruhiger werden. Derzeit habe ich gerade Remixe für die neue Kyau vs.Albert Single not With You" und für Anjuna Beats "Rush & Murrays-The Promise" abgeliefert. Meine Single "E.O.S." wird dann auch noch mit neuen Remixen auf ATCR in UK erscheinen. Ein bisschen Chillen sollte dann schon drin sein. Geplant ist dann für Anfang Herbst eine EP und natürlich eine neue Sun Decade Single. DJ mässig ist als nächstes "Gatecrasher" in England angesagt. Danach bin ich natürlich auch wieder in Deutschland unterwegs sowie auf den Euphonic Parties in Berlin. Anfragen aus ganz Europa zB Skandinavien usw. liegen schon vor. Am Besten Ihr checkt das auf www.ronskispeed.com impaki: Du bist ja mittlerweile ein oft gefragter Remixer unter anderem auch bei Bekannten Größen wie Armin van Buuren, wonach wählst Du aus ? Ronski: Ich möchte den Track erst einmal hören um einzuschätzen ob ich etwas mit dem Thema anfangen kann. Danach nehme ich mit Themen oder Vocals aus dem Original und ändere sie einfach im Ronski Speed Style ab. impaki: Du hast ja jetzt eine neue MIX-CD am Start (Veröffentlichung im April), es ist nicht eine gewöhnliche MIX-CD, weil Du hier Hits und neue unreleased Tracks drauf hast. Wie entstand Sie ? Ronski: Die Idee hatten wir (Euphonic) schon länger, die Positive Ways Reihe weiter zu führen. Nachdem die ersten zwei Teile Label Compilations waren. Dachten wir daran die besten Euphonic Productionen und das beste unsrer Partner Labels, wie Anjuna Beats, Vandit, Armada, Fundamental, Lost Language usw. auf eine CD zu packen. Viele Anfragen kommen immer, ob es auch die Produktionen mal auf CD gibt. Dann haben wir die Labels angefragt und ich habe mir meine Favoutites rausgepickt und letztlich natürlich zusammen gemixt. Mit dem Material hätten wir mehrere CDs füllen können. So sind aber nur die Besten Tracks drauf gelandet. Das ganze enthält meiner Meinung einen guten Fluss von deep Progressive, Uplifting bis Techno. impaki: Der richtige Trance ist ja hier in Deutschland nicht so weit vorn wie in Holland oder in England. Warum ist das Deiner Meinung nach so ? Wenn das so sein sollte, was muss in Deutschland gemacht werden damit es besser wird ? Ronski:Trance hat sich in Deutschland durch sehr viele kommerzielle Produzenten und DJ's in eine andere Richtung entwickelt als anderswo. Die Leute wurden überflutet von "Kirmes-Techno". Das Club Publikum hat sich dem abgewendet. Inzwischen hat sich das aber Gott sei dank diese Musik Szene von selbst bereinigt. Progressiverer Sound ist geblieben. Die Trance Szene muss sich nun in Deutschland neu entwickeln in kleinen Clubs. Das versuchen wir auch mit unseren Euphonic Parties zu erreichen. impaki: Wir sitzen ja jetzt hier auf einer von Deinen Label (Euphonic) ins Leben gerufene Veranstaltung, warum hier in Berlin und nicht in der Heimat ? Ronski: Das Einzugsgebiet von Berlin ist grösser. Berlin ist für unsere Gäste und Gast-DJ's am einfachsten und zentralsten zu erreichen. Wir wohnen ja auch nicht weit weg. Ich denke Berlin ist offen für Neues und hier sollten wir auch am Start sein. impaki: Wie ist die Resonanz und seit Ihr offen für neue unbekannte Künstler ? Ronski: Wir sind immer offen für neue Künstler und neue Ideen. Wir haben auch schon neue Künstler ins Boot geholt zB. Aly & Fila oder Flipside. Wichtig ist dabei eine gewisse Eigenständigkeit des Künstlers. Viele Demos die wir bekommen klingen schlecht oder haben keine zündende Idee. Aber auch viele interessante Sachen sind dabei. Ich bin selber oft überrascht wie bekannt das Label oder auch ich bin. Durch internationale Radio Stationen z.B. DI.FM auf der ich jeden 3. Mittwoch von 21-22.00 Uhr CET ein set bestreite oder auch Global DJ Broadcast, ASOT, Paul Van Dyk's Soundgarden, John Askews "Kiss 100" show usw. Wird die Musik über den ganzen Planeten gestreut. 8) impaki: Wir kommen ja extra aus Halle, möchtest Du unseren Lesern noch etwas sagen / wünschen ? Ronski: Vor allem viel Spass mit meiner Musik.
